That intro has a very ethereal tone and I could listen to that looped all day.
The miramba undertone is nice however it starts changing the vibe. And it starts taking on this island feel, which is still nice and very enjoyable however...
When the guitar piece comes in, it changes to something completely and I get more of a feel like its more of a "bed" track for some guy using it on a loop while playing guitar in the city streets...lol
imo if you kept that progressive house feel to it, it is a very head bouncing track.
...................
Been kinda on a roll lately. All over the board genre wise (naturally) but getting some good ideas down and trying to ride that wave
*note -Those cymbal flams will be removed

i like this a lot but i think it can use some more peaks and valleys to really accentuate when a new element comes in. All of the elements are there though. |

You got a nice groove going here. Separation between instruments is great. Around the 2:00 I'm waiting for something to step in on the foreground, some big lead. There is something coming but it sounds like a background arp. Overall you have a bunch of nice sounds but it lacks a memorable theme. |

Could use some help on this one from you guys.
So, this issue surrounds the low frequencies and I shall explain.
There are basically two lines of sub that are separated by an octave.
The first line is the higher octave in which I am using a saw that blended well with the mix however,at the 2:00 mark I attempted to pitch down an octave and it went to and it distorted all over the board.
So, I went with another sub on it and I am getting some distortion, or at least on my transition points where it is peaking. When attempting to EQ, it seems like it dulls out the lower sub and doesn't match up and almost seems to lose power
Any suggestions? Another Sub? lol
Also, not sure about my lead (still not sure about the tone) but is it dragging?
***Revised**
Ok, so I kept the older bounce in order to see the difference. I "think" I have chosen a better remedy on the new bounce.
I found one mistake in the fact that my EQ was off for whatever reason on my percussion. However, now I am seeing a lot more peaks and valley's on the waveform when it got turned on
Secondly, I ended up ducking both subs which helped bring out that kick. With that said however, I am getting some clipping. Not to say that I am religious on being a "meter" guy and generally try to trust and rely on my ears, but I try to at least follow some sort of guide using a meter and I am getting some red. But, the strength returned.
I need to test this out on my other two references to make sure

Hi Phil, sorry for late respond, busy couple of week (work and home lol). First of all, I would work on your drums and bass to create more movement/dynamics and then try to give more separation for different instruments - this would be good start to take control over your production and add intended flavor to it.
Thank you,
