Tried to separate sounds, but don't know with how much success. Bass string is pretty wide, it's sidechained on kick but still... if i cut his envelope then there is not enough power. I've raise mid on hook part, but it's still loose some volume when everything hit at once.

id say let this one go mate you're capable of better, im greedy i just wanna hear something new :)

Like this, quality has for sure improved. That kick though, about knocked me out of my chair..lol but overall production has much improved Gordan
Speaking of which, I took your advice and changed the piano on this.

Just a WIP

Is it going anywhere?

Im really liking the arpeggio at the end of the clip. If im completely honest the rest of it is not working for me, especially the vocal. Drums and bass sounding tight though. I would scrap the rest of the music in this track, and use that end section and build a track around that and the drums/bass. That end bit is really awesome IMO. All IMO as always....

really nice ideas in here, especially from around the 2 minute mark onwards. I feel the mix isn't right, there is a lack of low end punch and clarity with the sub being nearly inaudible in places and to me the kick and snare dont sound right as they are. If it were me i might change them completely. Also chuck a pro tune of a similar style in your arrange page and reference with regards to mixing.

to my ears sort out the drums, sub and polish the mix and your on to a winner

All IMO as ever.....

Thanks Chris for the valuable insight!
With that said I decided to experiment with a new kick and snare tone and checked on the bass. Damn if my cans aren't giving away to the dead.
I haven't done the ultimate test in the truck yet but think this did a little more improvement.
Appreciate the advice.

Sorry it's offtopic, if admin think it's inappropriate please delete...

It's a casual, simple game, 3d arkanoid clone that i'll release in a month or two on Steam. I would like to have a nice soundtrack on this, so if you have some nice unreleased tracks that you think it would fit on this and would like some promotion - please send it on pm. I think that soundtrack can be sold separately on games, so anything is possible.

I will probably need to change some ingame sounds, and make them mono, because now they clash a lot with songs being played at the same time. I have used a deep kick as a sound when ball hits something :)

Prev mix was really bad when i listened on cans :) This one is a bit better. Is this going anywhere?

Dig the groove you are going for. Some elements seem to not be gelling however.
You have a lot going on there, couldn't decipher at the 2:00 mark if it is a delay or what but the arp effects are slightly out of time and jumping which confused my ears...lol.
Curious and dumb question. Is your kick in mono?
Shaker cymbals were very bright on my ears.
As well your transitions with your sweeps, imo could be more atmospheric and not so forward in your mix. Automation would be very useful with that.
Good work, want this to develop more!
