not sure what to say about this really :P it reminds me somehow of old computer game music? one of the most unusual pieces ive heard on here so kudos for that! |

I agree with it sounding "flat." The progression is cool and doesn't really sound like anything I've heard before, but it doesn't really... move me? If that makes sense? I don't really feel an emotional connection to it. The sound design and production are quite good though. It sounds nice and wide.
I am so confused as to how I feel about this haha. It's definitely EXTREMELY repetitive. The intro was rather cool, but then everything that follows feels really forced to me and artificial. Idk. You have some really solid samples in there but as a "song" I have to say I'm not really a fan.
This is what I've got going on:
It's a dubstep track that I did the vocals on. Happy with it so far! |
best ive heard from you...was nodding along to this, great job on the vox, reminds me of Pendulum :) |

Sounds good Seandroid, you did a good job on the vocals! Maybe I am just not used to music with drops, but it sounded like you kept the low pass filter on for a while before the drop. Its a minor nitpick.
So, this is my first attempt at a prog trance type track. Not sure where to go from here really. There is something about the percussion I don't like yet I can't really put my finger on it. Need other peoples ears!

this is really nice, relaxed sound that you can drift along to. I woldnt drop the arp out the way you did, unless thats the actual end of the track?
some things i would do: i would add a main hat (completely mono) so that focuses the percussion more towards the centre, not too loud tho as to spoil the groove
id also add a bit of reverb to the main arp, not too much that makes it muddy but enough to lift that arp up to something a bit bigger and noteworthy
breakdown: not sure about the lead sound in the break, quality doesnt sound good to me - maybe try another synth?
id also maybe make the track go almost silent at the end of the break before bringing everything back in, might work well for this track
overall, really nice groove which is the main thing :) |

I performed the vocals! Like, I sang them, and recorded them myself. |
wow, now I am impressed!
You have 1up straight away on a load of producers who can't do like that. No plugin in the world could make my voice sound good.
Really good job :) |

Like this.
The verb is excellent. Very spacey. Like the way the kick feels. Drums are very clean.
Cool track so far. |

Debated whether or not to throw this up here...(screwit)
Short little electro tune I've been working on...haven't been in the mood for any serious trance undertakings lately...
I think what it lacks in substance it made up for in fun. Might add a little more to the "melody/chorus" and still fine tuning the mix. (It originally was done on headphones and a laptop)
The sub-bomb on my 750W Hi-fi sub sure is sick though...
Comments/crits welcome.
Enjoy! |

IMO it sounds very flat but i can also see were you are going with it (Melbourne house?)
i would add some fullness for the lead maybe layer it or have a blippy type synth sound counter melody weaved in.
hmm after getting to 2 mins it takes off it seems to me you take to long to open the tune up for that style its usaly just intro|small break|Main segment 1|Breakdown|drop|small break| re drop|outro|
pretty much have it bounce in from the first segment
as i have no monitors can some one tell me if it sounds bad please |
