There is a reason for that. We aren't like KVR obviously and we do not have the member input that KVR has either. That thread at KVR is also open to any genre where as we are pretty much isolated to one (with variables ) on TA.
In all honesty I prefer it here because it forces one to give feedback on a track before you receive feedback on your personal track. Over there, you may not get one reply due to the amounts of people with "other" personal likes/dislikes who don't care about the genre you are playing. This causes a lot of skip over and unless you just have an absolute banger (and still no guarantees) you will probably end up with nonsense or nothing at all.
Here we have 10-15 people doing the same thing pretty much and who actually give a crap about what the other is doing. As well, if you follow protocol you will end up with a wealth of info.
KVR is like a family member or friend. Do you play your music for them? I'd be willing to bet that if you were looking for technical advice you probably wouldn't find it from them.
On the other side of that as a web site admin I cannot even imagine the upkeep over there at KVR. Gotta be brutal
Sorry man...totally disagree |

Does that voice and singing sound stupid over this track?

No, it actually fitting. With that said, it needs a few elements imho.
One, It needs to be pronounced. It needs to be the dominate focal point of the track.Push it up in the mix Two, I would suggest a cleanup on the vox. Take the dry bed and give it some high end and give it some clarity. 3rd, Add some delay and verb. With the gap between verses it gives you a chance to make some juicy vox delay tails that would fit nicely in transitions.

Sounds cool man |

| Thanks for that example and advices, Phil. I have tried to add more highend and clarity on voice but it started to pierce my ears, so i've pulled it back. I'll give it another go. Also, vocal was recorded on some really cheap mic, low on volume, so i needed to give him a boost with amplifier but then a nasty lowend buzz came in. I should probably record vocals again on a better mic |

| 🦉 Hey Gordan, try this. Before the kick drops or main section like a chorus, insert a 1-bar fill section. I find it makes tracks less predictable & turns a 32-bar section to a 33-bar section, which is a Freemasonic number. |

I like this mate, reminds me of SOft Cell from the early 80's. A bit of rumble mid low end needs removing. I enjoy the way the vocal gets more intense over time. In the early part though just clean up the pitches and get it nice n contained with a bit of limiting. |

So I'm not all that good any anything other than liquid dnb, so here is me back to this style but a laid-back almost ambient track really.
Have not done any side chain on synths yet.
Does it need some more elements?

It's a nice melody and groove, i don't think you need more elements
i would though cut from 1:16 - 2:28, i think that track develops too slowly
Those plucks starts at 2:52 are nice. You could maybe make a full break with them and bassline at 3:16 and then introduce piano and drums again and do some small variations on plucks. Just my thoughts
btw. you are very good in many genres |

I'm not an expert on dnb but this sounds really good. Might be the best I ever heard from you, maybe cuz its ambient. |
