Pryda? Well damn..lol that has got to be the nicest compliment I have ever received. I don't actually try to model my music after Eric but he is for SURE a HUGE influence on me. Appreciate that reply man.
As for the track...I am getting a little wide on stereo separation and need to bring that back in I think. This was an earlier mix and I have tightened up immensely since. |

Oh.My.God. Good to see you back, Rodri!
Listening on my laptop, so I can't really comment on the kick (sounds fine though). The ending does seem to sorta fizzle out and lose energy, but seems like it would fit fine in a mix. |
Hey cryo, i see the regular lurkers around... nice. I still use a pack you made of open hats...
This is my new one if someone can suggest some changes before polishing.

Hi Rodri,
Judging the time span on a reply to this track I am assuming you have it already finished, sorry about that. It seems our board is getting a little lazy on the new year =OP
As for the critique on this track. Your arrangement has some very progressive tones to it. I very much like the pads and the "ohhs" balance. Sounds lush.
The Arp is nice on this but almost sounds out of place imo and I am one of those who are always saying "Throw An Arp on it". It just seems almost like the composition of notes make it seem "circusy". Especially the second and third root notes. Not sure if you are trying to follow the base notes as compensation but it renders it almost...off.
Dig the bass and tonality of the production. Has some nice areas in the mix that are just really pleasant sounding.
Overall, I appreciate the production on this track it just sounds a little wonky to me.
--------------------------------
Pretty much done with this one, need a final mix and master so the volume is a little low. Could use some production feedback if needed or what not.

Whats up ya'll! Bout damn time you guys start posting tracks, jeez. This isolation HAS to draw out some influence somehow, right?
Glad to see ya back gents, now to it...
Pandemix!! LOL Love that and seems suitable.
Dig this Richard, very pulsing and a direct punch. I would say that if there was anything that I could critique is on that kick. At first I didn't feel it was a good tone but changed my opinion. It isn't that it is not a good tone but rather it needs another element, it needs that big huge booming sub underneath. Add that and a solid mix and you have got a really nice techno piece there.

Hey Gordan!
This track has a good idea in form. I would like to mention that the Arp is very prevalent here when it feels like it should be more underlying as an accompaniment. In ways it would appear that your bassline is the leader of this piece and the Arp is kind of taking up his space.
Curious if there is any sidechain compression on your bassline with that kick. I highly suggest that as it would probably sit a little better in the mix and make that more of a pronounced tone (and will probably bring that kick out more to)
Overall good stuff dood!

Has nice vibe to it man and I would definitely finalize it with your main focus on area of the dynamics, let me know if this make any sense so I can point you in the right direction.
Cheers,

This is my latest WIP work in the area of Funk/Nu (also for Phil to see where the dynamics level should be).
Cheers,
Darek
