This compared to that.

I think these are by and large relatively generic progtrance from about 10 years ago. They are well mixed in my opinion, and the sound design, albeit dated, always seem OK to me. I don't know if I have ever heard a full song from you. I like your kick on A New Dimension (though the title is ironic in that I find the style antithetical to new), and in the production world, that is a pretty big compliment. I'd like to hear a finished track from you, with a little more originality. |

Really like the climax at :37. This isn't an 'issue' but the bpm is low enough to make playing it difficult for some DJs. |
It's actually really trendy. Recess by Skrillex, Dillon Francis's stuff, Rock & Roll, One Click Headshot & No Grip by Feed Me, among others. It's called "moombahton" or "mid-tempo." Sometimes even just "110." |

There's this early bit at the beginning of the vocals where you chop them up and screw with panning that is just excellent. |

| Also Seandroid I still really want a downloadable version of Illicit because holy goddamn swearwords, it's so good. |

Of course! I was thinking more along the lines of mash-up material for the melodic house/trance DJs. |

Probably going to work with a vocalist on something soon. Possibly this one (that's why the breakdowns are kind of sparse) if I determine if it is worth finishing. Also, would be more than happy to collab with someone on the production/mixing for equal credit. Feedback?

Need a flavor from you guys. Need your ears
This is part of a wip I am doing but I am really having a tough time with this vocal stem. Is it me or am I getting a serious amount of backend noise.
What I am hearing is a clicking noise and a almost "sub" hit after each pronunciation.
I dont have monitors and use cans for mixing and this is seriously annoying me. Is it me?
Also, when I add reverb to the stem the sub sound really is pronounced.

Great song. The only two things that stood out for me was the attack on the main cho synth, for me it sounds a little too clicky, and the choice of sound for the cho melody synth that comes in around 2:28 for me sounds a little cheesy? Mix is great though! Hope you get a good vocalist that will do it justice!
Btw, where's the piano sound from, sounds really nice? |

Hey guys,
heres a song I did a while ago, am thinking about reworking it to bring it up to date. Im so used to hearing this the way it is (because of listening to it a million times) that im finding it hard to get creative with it again. Ive lost that "fresh" listen aspect. So im after mainly songwriting, arrangement sound design advice, etc. Not really mix related stuff cause its a rough mix. Thanks guys,
|
not bad, wouldnt be into vocally stuff like this personally, a lot of stuff going on there at the same time but youve managed to get all seperated as best as possible i think
would like to hear a dub version :) |

a little cheesy for my tastes but not bad. be careful on the bass, i think you could a tiny bit more low end out of it |

A complete overhaul of the remix I posted several weeks ago. Not really happy about this yet. Some parts progress too little and others too fast making it feel a bit incoherent to me. But I know where I want to go with it so I'm guessing it will all be alright. Some feedback would be nice. |
Nice chilled vibe but I have to say I'm finding the clickyness in the kick a bit uncomfortable.
Would you consider adding another element just to make it a bit more characterful? Something like the occasional vocal hit? For me it does need something extra.
Nice soothing synths as ever. |
