Well, just about hit replay bottom and notice this track is gone lol - I guess I'm a bit to late :)

It's nice Darek. Where did sax come from?
I wanted to make some music today but my fancy wireless Beats by Dr. Dre got broken, ing cheap plastic garbage. I wasn't home alone and no one should ever listen my process of creating music. So I went to a mall and bought 6$ JVC earbuds and adapter so i could plug it in the amplifier. I saw "powerful sound" label on the box and i was sold. I'm a simple man. Actually, they are not much worse than Beats.

Deep start. Nice vocal bits and plucks. Mixdown seems fine. For the second half it's again the same as always. The bits stand out on their own, with the guitar plucks, glassy thing and trumpet. Have you finished any of these works recently? There's really not much to say about it other than to get it done! :) :D
Slowly getting happier with where this is going. Bass is too loud I think in the end... Any ideas on how to take it further?

heyo st, took a listen. I cant discern under 100hz on my system/headphones so I cant comment on that, perhaps the balance is a bit off kilter towards the low end. I see there is that stab @ 1.12 that reciprocates twice, I would maybe reallly bring that up a bit more and then work the track around those stabs you could probably progress them in a breakdown and post etc at some point. Idk just spitballing, sounds good though.
I has another render, but im thinking I should stop rendering anything until I get some full range speakers, im just mixing in the dark.
im sure its smashed and the low end is mud, I guess im hoping I can get lucky for now. the breakdown + drop seems weak, already deleted it once might have to again. |

I mean yeah, the mix is an issue, but I seriously think you have something worth finishing here. |

| I dont see why I couldn't be able to fix it if I heard the problems, at the same time I dont want to be out a $1000 if I end up not being able to + with my neighbours, the dilemma. I think I like suffering. |

Thanka for your comments on my work. I'm going to second mr Mystery on this, it is a badass concept! If mixed properly this would be similar to that Eelke Kleijn style which I think would be an amazing achievement :toocool: |

This is really my cup of tea, pretty smooth and nostalgic with sweet sound selection and well balance. I wouldn’t change much, just focus on finishing it then you can worry about everything else.

| Same clip has been updated quite a bit now. Far from finished still but moving forward nonetheless... Hopefully the mix doesn't sound that headphone-ish & bass-heavy anymore. Thanks for your pointers :) |

you transported to this magical place called plastic city... then trumpet and the guitar kicked in... the spell broke, and it became something else... :(...
personally i would strip out a couple of the vox samples, and probably just use a lick from the trumpet, and guitar if that in order to stick with the plastic city/timewriter vibe that i was feeling in the begining. i felt that the trumpet and guitar turned the vibe into flaccid poser house. kinda like the naked music type vibe you'd hear at a daytime pool party in the hollywood hills where no is dancing cause everyone is snorting coke and sipping wine and taking selfies for the gram so other people will think they are cool.
but yeah, i was diggin the track. regardless of what i think, you need to finish this one. |

been trying to chisel on the mix a bit more, took out a pad to make some room, but the mix still sounds cheap a/bing to good tracks; the bass is distorting and I cant get rid of it unless I recreate the sub, shiet.

I'm really liking what you're doing here, particularly with the synths, really nice. I think it might be the drum sounds that need the work to bring the mix up to where you're aiming at. They just sound a bit flat at this point underneath the rest of it imo... But yeah this is really promising. |
