This is not that serious, rather simple, also no drums yet just kick, also not really happy with bassline. Any potential here or trash bin?

So far it is very clean but simple and without any drums, it would be really hard to get any sense in which direction you would like to take this WIP - I would say work on it (at least on drums) to see if you can get results you will be happy with and post it over here again.

Phil,
I can here why you always coming back to this Techno track man, has something catchy in it, but I can put my fingers on it yet, so I would suggest to work on your EQ first to get your dynamics in place - it makes huge difference (at least for me) if I work on some new material and doesn't move me at all then goes to bin lol. Drums+bass then start to adding additional elements to it, but punch/dynamics needs to be there man - just my $ 0.02

Just a quick pick on my latest WIP - still few things need to happens (drums variations, vocal evolution, ....) but you should be able to hear what I'm after lol - vocal House/Trance.

| Really like this Darek, my only suggestion would be to try and separate the bass just a tiny bit from the pluck seems to overlap very slightly. Maybe a little mid/side eq on the pluck and hp the mid a little? Good work though and very easy to listen to! |

Surprised to see a Track by you man =O)
First off, really dig the opener. Nice burst of an arp to get it rolling.
Your kick....is there a delay or a verb on there? It sounds like it is filling in a lot of back end noise that shouldn't be there. As well, it could use some punch.
Snare roll. Very repetitive and stands out in the mix,very prominently.
Your arrangement. I like the tones you are using but would like to see some more higher frequency tones. Or perhaps it is a lead character needed as opposed to more of your Mid range tones used. Not sure if you are at that point but as a suggestion.
Composition needs some mix up. The same four chords gets a little repetitive and without the presence of a lead,it gets really monotonous
Overall it has potential...keep at it! |

| Thanks for listening.. I'm still playing around with the arrangement.. That second synth that comes in on break 2 I want to really stand out.. and I'm having difficulty placing it.. and there's actually still a melody line that I have on a channel as well, but I don't have it playing on this "wip" because Im not sure I know where I want it either.. So for the most part this is just a very very rough draft.. I'm also working on a Robert Miles - Children Remix which is coming a long quite nicely.. I might drop that one off here another time.. I don't want to over-extend my welcome ;) |

You had me as soon as the bass joins the plucks! Frequently feel the high-end is overly busy with little separation in your mixes. This time it is not the case.
The vocal needs a bit more space every now and then. Especially when you open up the cutoff the vocal is drowned in all that is going on.
Your losing me a bit after the chord change... It came rather unexpected.
All in all a great start, looking forward to see how it progresses! |

the vocals are a bit trancy`-sounding with the reverb but really cool :) the piano and bass groove interplay is awesome and the bassline itself is really cool sounding.. (y) |
