You can do it.

Alright man will do i can do it too.

It is better, but I still feel it's a little bit empty. Don't want to say to much though, it may only be my own preferences. But I would definitely throw in something to counter what you got there. You should sleep and come back to it tomorrow or something. How long you been at it today? :=)

One more thing, just curiouss. Is this what you got at the moment or do you have a melody ready for the break and climax?

Yeah it lacks something. Like in the chord synth at 1:42 doesnt vary that much. There is some nice stuff going on on the end which i dig the most of.

Here is some of my latest work. I really dont know what to do with the high saw bass. I have tons of saws in there, but i cant seem to make it right. Should i just delete the whole thing and go with something else? How does the mix sound?

Maybe lil too much distortion, but when i do less i cant get even the slightest more "fatter" sound off it which im after. Im really bad at making sounds fatter anyway. :(

holy crap these SC embed stuff are big, how the heck do i get the small one?

In the embed section there are options for a smaller embed i think

your track - i dont think the bass is having enough impact, its not really coming through
the kick is not bad, punchy enough - not sure on the snare - hard to judge a sample that small anyway

I think I generally agree with evo, more bass is needed, the mids are nice. Maybe just but a deeper bass sound beneatch the sort of bassline sound you have going for you now.

I'd personally remove that loud saw and just go for the chords, but that's just my preference. I love that type of chordy stuff.

i just get the feeling that im waiting for the bass to drop in at some stage but it never does

I really get what u mean. I got rid most of the saws, left just lil high end, and went with more plucky sound.

My question is does it pack any punch whatsoever?

I cant really tell

Won't post this again until if i get it done.

Musically, I like this. It sounds really harsh though and the levels are not good. Cut some highs on the lead. Depending on how that goes, bring the bass up a bit and/or the lead down a bit.

I did it really fast and i have a couple ideas for break down and melody.

that lead is mixed too high - consequently all the other elements seem too low
Bring the lead down - i would use the kick as reference, its all relative.....

also as echo said it does seem a little bit harsh so i would look at whats making it seem harsh

You should finish this track, it's really catchy and bouncy but I think maybe re - look at the lead sound and perhaps make it less sharp and more of a softer stabby chord with no or little release and little reverb so as the whole track combines better. Bass I cannot comment on as I'm at work on PC speakers.

Good melodic work though and yes worth completing.
