Cheese is good man but there is something not right about overall mix, can't put my fingers around yet but doesn't sound right (I means ready for next step lol) yet.
Maybe after listen to it few more time I will have better idea about some specific issues Richard (compression, limiting or ??????)

I'm really jealous of the amazing soundcape here and in the previous one. Real proper techno sounds. Is the Nord making the decent techno dark stab thing here? Just the sounds I crave.
Nice tracks, real easy to listen to |
thanks Richard, i think the stab is actually the Q - the nord is playing the chord
Nice feature on the Q is the ability to set a Random Patch - so you just hit the button and invariably it will throw something interesting and usable at you (and sometimes some god awful aliased ear splitting nonsense too :p)
A lot of fxpansion Bloom delay and VVV as well |

This is that sports track I've made. In this edit I've removed the chorus vocals and most other vocal passages as I wanted feedback on the mix of the instrumentation.
Any mix issues?

I got inspired listening to the stuff evo posted, had to make some atmospheric / dubish techno. It is a bit rough around the edges as I hammered it out in a few hour session but let me know if the concept is hit or miss... Could use some mixing advice too. I am torn on whether the kick has too much reverb :D
Used alot of 2CAudio Kaleidoscope for those evolving / string parts... interesting trying to work it into more uptempo music.

Mix sounds good to me, listening on headphones though. I feel like maybe the kick could maybe hit with a bit more "oomph" or be turned up slightly. |

Richard, can you check for me this piano right from beginning as it is coming to my left site bit more then the center also if you could take of some sidechain off main pad/s to let the melody come through a bit more because right now I can only hear kick with bass and at some moments a lead - just some few observation at the moment.
Cheers man,

Many places of employment block file sharing services like Zippyshare. |

i love the concept but i dont like the string sounds, theyre a bit harsh to my ears :( im not familiar with this Kaleidoscope synth, it may be ok to play these incidentally but throughout the whole track i find them a bit fatiguing
love the kick/bass combo! and the sync sounds are win |

Thanks for the feedback... I spent like 1 hour designing the kicks reverb in B2 ... probably the most powerful reverb plugin in existence. Its crazy all of the spacial features you can add to a sound with it and shape it exactly how you have it in your head... guess that's why they call it a "Spacial Processor"
Yeah I did notice the fatigue issue somewhat on some of the drone strings more resonant frequencies. I tried to EQ/compress it away but I don't think it worked well enough... just too much resonance at certain frequencies left over. Think I will take those elements of the track back to the drawing board. |

So my main reference Hi-FI system went south on my (Rotel) and can quite finish this track without an idea how this sounds on HI-FI speakers, just wondering about bass level and how is translating.
Cheers guys,

Mix is sounding on point though I don't have HiFi speakers, listening on my Sennheiser PC363D headset (pretty good fidelity for a headset :p)
The track has a real nice vibe to it, like alot of the snappy rhythmic synth elements you used, works well and has its own unique flavor. Great atmosphere and progression as well.
My only gripe is around 48 seconds where the saw sound has just faded out, only to come back in briefly. Seems like the release should be a bit shorter on the volume envelope. Just my 2 cents. |
