yea I feel that, too much pressure going on.
actually I had recorded something else, but I came back to it didnt like the low end : too beefy, also didnt like the percs either, so that post is a lie, its the second recording, I switched it.
I just didnt like the wip, but I have the copy of it if you wanna see what I mean, its not exciting to me. the previous entry excites me more.
its a little out of tune ;\
Sooo atmospheric szm. These ALL have so much great potential that you put out!
Been awhile gang...nice to see you guys still going!
WIP crossover Liquid>Dance Floor DnB. Still working out the transition and reese at the end but like the direction
great wip, really enjoy that ambitious bass at the latter part, maybe if the resonant peaks were even higher on it, it could be more hooky methinks.
just spitballing, maybe some mixed reverb on the rimshot could be beneficial as seems a bit static, same with the piano. other than that hats off i enjoy.

Thanks Bud! Appreciate the feedback. That back side Reese is still in development. I am not to fond of the design work and left it as a placeholder until I can re develop it as the intention is to transition into a Dancefloor style D&B Bass line from the "ambience" of the static Sub from the Liquid side.
Percussion is next! I agree, that Shot could use a little verb.
Piano's are actually very deep and layered immensely. I am sure you will get that resonance once I EQ.
I would ask if you don't mind.
The chord changes on the second bars are most obviously...odd; tonally
is it too odd?
Am I getting enough punch on the ending kick/percussion? Seems thin and maybe it's because I am not giving enough intensity to the drop before it that makes it seem lethargic
szm
thats above my wheelhouse, sorry brother. thought your kick was clipping but i think that was piano.

I've been at it again last Sunday. It has been a while. First one is me revisited a track which isn't finished after 2-3 years but I still like it. Second one is something from yesterday too. Remainder is just older WIP stuff untouched.

really nice piece, reminds of me some royksopp for some reason. got that punchy dry sound I cant achieve. no critical feedback I can give.
I havent opened a daw in ages, did so today and this came out.
poopy mix, whole things needs a tilt. the track itself is pretty anemic. done in demo mode so I can only do 1 session lol. the bass needs to be better, the main lead is probably scrap worthy, not sure what I was thinking.

I think I saw your post a day later MSZ but the clip was already removed :(.
Trying some liquid dnb again beat feels a bit stale, wrong sounds, doesn't flow well. Not sure why yet. Will look up some tutorials or something :D. I do feel it has potential.
i wouldnt say anything is wrong with that, maybe the last stab a bit too loud, keep going, reminds me of the classic liquid stuff.
i put the last wip back up, its the same thing, maybe ill get back to it when i purchase the new reason as I cant access the file till then. no super desire to buy it yet, maybe. things arent going as planned rn. was hoping to buy a digitakt but that too has to wait. I wonder how my mix would sound if I used your environment ;x
btw idk if you drink beer, but is the hollandia beer any good there? ive been picking it up here because its one of the cheapest imports, tastes clean and light to me; good for the money.

Thanks, I updated the clip a few hours before your response. I had just put in a chopped up Amen Break which solved the tin sound and flow

Give me some time and I'll get back to you. About the environment, I have a small room with great speakers and headset (if you ask me). But for mixing it's not ideal. Cross-referencing with headset , sonos and car speakers helps, and I did most of that before posting.
Keep grinding and Reason/digitakt will happen. I still haven't upgraded Ableton as money is going to more important things right now. It is what it is :).

I don't drink much at all but have drank my fair share. I don't consider myself a beer enthusiast or knowledgeable at all, just fyi :). Dutch have a fair amount of brands, nothing like the Belgian but there are some good ones. Heineken is clearly our biggest brand which is very easy to drink, maybe a bit bland. I personally prefer some local smaller Brewers with more exotic tastes. Weissenbeer and IPA's are usually my go to.
If you can get a hold of Hoegaarden, that is imo quite a bit tastier than Heineken or Amstel. The latter probably more likely to be available in Canada.

Since TA is seemingly experiencing issues a new post with addendum.
The plucks I need to fix, probably some compression n to keep the sustain but make it a little less plucky.
Also, Belgian beer, but if they have it, try Jupiler :).
