You're right man; its definitely not, the original was really bad. I dont know why I really bothered with it, I guess I wanted something to work on. I dont think I will even give it them to release -- pointless. At least it has an oldschool vibe I suppose that is a small victory for me.

I've only just started making music. I like this track but it just doesn't seem as full as some things others have made. Any ways I could get it to sound better?

It's all about your own journey, don't take it too personally :). If you enjoyed making it that's all that matters

dont like the gurgling bass sound, would like to hear it without that. The sustained bass sound fits well - is the kick in stereo?

Im keeping that zipper sound xD Im more or less done just adding a bridge and tidying up the intro and outro, transitions and breakdown. I've sucked what I want into it. The kick is partially in stereo, I do this trick where I spread 40% of it with resonance. My buddies always tell me to mono , and frankly I dont really care because im producing for myself, some of my fans/colleagues like it anyway. I've got my highs down, my low end is ed because im mixing in the dark. The mids are my biggest issue right now, I need to develop some techniques for it.

What are you mixing on? headphones? Theres a lot of sub there, a bit too much imho
