hehe I returned my jbls, wasnt a fan of the sound signature, wasnt fun to mix on. shouldn't buy such things without listening to them first.
back to mixing on my boombox for now.
this bass sequence seems easier on the ears, I think I can develop this one into a track when I feel inspired. I keep going for the easy notes though, its not very appealing im sure.

Nice big sound and tension building
Now for a big breakdown... |

I've added arp at 1:35, not sure yet if its working. Hope there will be no unpleasant surprises when i wake up :D

| probably works depends on your taste, not too much a fan of shrilly synths but I really like that synth at 2:24. I say keep your synths deep, the pads will compliment them in tonality in the end, up to you though. |

I'm trying to keep them deep but they always come up somehow :) Thanks for the advice |

Now since you have all your sounds in place already, will be a good time to start to work on your drums - make this more vibrant, moving or breathing which will require your drums do have more variations :D - you are getting closer and closer Gordan, nice work ;)

Yep, agree, part one is nice so you have to start on part two like Richard suggested :D - so far so good Mac.

Thanks guys! I'm really happy that you can hear a progress with my mixes. Lately i'm working more with monitors using headphones for corrections only, before that i was producing everything on headphones because i didn't have enough privacy, that makes a difference for me. In next 10 years i'm planning to conquer the drums

Thanks Rich! This sounds pretty good, nice chilled thing, you should develop it more. I may be subjective now though ;) |

I think that is more of a personal preference as well the type of cans are important. For me, I remember hearing that because of the size limitations it isn't really "ideal" to use headphones. But then, I turn around and hear that Eric Prydz uses cans exclusively for Production,Mixing AND Mastering. I dunno |

Yeah, it's personal preference i guess
How is this? Does bass overcrowd mix? Is arp irritating? Does piano fits here? And should i trash it :) ?
