So I was watching Star Trek (8) - First Contact yesterday, decided to go for for Svenska subtitles (why the hell not, eh?); turns out your language isn't all that difficult imo.
Jag är Belgian Bonzai :D lol
Seriously, why does the present tense of 'to be' always seem to be är, no matter what the pronoun, that struck me.
Love your a° (can't write it with this keyboard, too lazy to open 'special caracters') letters, they're cool. Not as cool as the Norwegian O/ though hehe.
And don't you guys have any w's?
Greetings from Belgium! |

Em, good point. I think I figured out the ö, it's like 'eu', I guess; yeah, like in Malmö. Pretty sure a° is like board in English. ä is a mystery; in my head, it sounds like best in English, but that's probably way off LOL.

First of all, thx :)
Hehe, you got me there; I saw a Swedish film the day before; understood next to nothing of it, except some words that resembled German, English or even Dutch (my mothertongue). The ö, I figured out myself really (I knew you people use the eu-sound a lot, and since the subs were loaded with ö's...); the a°, I picked up in that film: they were talking about "Sma°land", they had to litterally subtitle that in Dutch, that's where I learned a°. Very surprised the ä checks out :D
Anyone happen to know the title of the film, was about a boy who's father (who he never saw) was a fisherman in Greece; then he and his mom went to search for him. Never mind, I'll try & find it myself.
