Its great that the gmail is push now.
what sucks is that you can only have one push email from Gmail on the iphone.. your other gmail accounts are going to be fetched every 15 mins. |

That's why you install the pushmail app to make every email to have a push notification.
Hotmail, Gmail, your domain mail & etc |

Question:
My brother has an iphone and is eligible for an iphone 3gs upgrade. If he keeps his old iphone would I be able to get the new one and change it to my number from my old phone instead? I'm only eligible for an iphone upgrade.. |

I dont know.. but i hate the idea of having a push notification telling me that I received and email.. i wish it could all truly just push without a notification.
I guess ill wait until the big guys all change to push email. It should happen sooner than later |

if the price is right for the 3GS, it's upto him. I got qouted $449 for hup, my bill doesn't give enuff cash to Rogers lol. If he does get it, take his 3G and save your HUP pricing for next yrs model. Don't bother getting a new 3G, find a flaw in his and swap it for a brand new unit at the applestore. If he's still under warrenty.
HUP to a 3GS from a 3G is not that great, it's not mindblowing leap forward hardware. |

Originally, I was eligible for an HUP, but with the 12 month change to 24 months, I'm no longer eligible until next July. My current phone is in horrible condition and I can't wait that long. My brother doesn't really care about his HUP and wants to keep his current 3G, so he's willing to let me have his HUP as long as I pay for it. The pricing for his upgrade lists 199 for the 16gb and 299 for the 32 which is awesome.
Now I'm still pretty clueless when it comes down to it.. but how would Rogers deal with this, since the phone(s) are registered by numbers? Would they allow me to take his new phone and have it changed with my registered number, even though it would be his phone number that would have it's contract renewed?
Maybe it would be easier to just swap numbers/plans? lol |

In that case, get the 3GS for yourself and pop in your sim. No need for the complex plan & number switch. His record wil only show the hup, they don't care who uses what and etc. Ppl use them with pay as you sims and it's fine.
The whole registered thing is to stop the sales of iPhones in regions that don't have it and keep them with the countries they're assigned to. But that can be by passed with jailbreaking, hackactived & unlocking now. That's why apple tries so hard to stop the 3 things that hurt them the most. |

Snapture Camera Enhancers Goes From Jailbreak to App Store

Snapture [$1.99 on sale - iTunes link], as can be seen by that little price and link notation right there, has gone from a must-have Jailbreak-only app, to a new home in Apple’s very own iTunes App Store.
For those unfamiliar with Snapture, it takes the iPhone camera experience to another level, such as taking photos by tapping anywhere on the screen (or lifting you finger off the screen), variable image sizes, pinch-to-zoom up to 5x, 8 direction alignment level and rapid-fire multi-shot (3 to be specific) functionality. (Yeah, color mode and taking pictures with the volume buttons didn’t survive the cross-over, but a satisfying amount did).
If you want to get a lot more out of your iPhone camera, give Snapature a try and let us know what you think!
(Wow that's a first ... Cydia apps heading over to the legit AppStore) |
