I got this one awhile ago from the Rogers Store. The red ring on the charger changes colours to let you know if it's still charging or if it's done. Works great. |

the source is down right now.. but i was wondering,. in the description it says that it doesnt need internet connection to work..
How is that possible? |
Didnt get it from the source, it's a private source I got it from.
All Navigation software have preloaded map, all true gps software do not require a data connection. Welcome to the real world of Navigation, this is how every phone in the past has been doing it since the beginning of time.
Only flaw Navigon has, you can not add custom POIs w/ warnings for Red Light Cameras & speed traps to warn me by visuals and audio. Just like TomTom, Garmin and Sygic. Plus you can't turn off certain POIs on or off. A assume the next ver will allow you to do it. |

BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 leaks, fanatics everywhere hyperventilate

If there is one thing hardcore BlackBerry users live and die by it’s definitely BlackBerry Messenger, or BBM. We gave you guys a preview of the upcoming version of BBM a little over a month ago and our inbox has been blowing up ever since. Fortunately for everyone now, BBM 5.0 has been leaked and appears to be available on most new BlackBerrys from OS 4.5 through OS 5.1. Don’t let us keep you waiting, hit the read link for direct downloads to BlackBerry Messenger 5.0!
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

Saw this 28hrs ago, waited to see any TOTA BB users would post it ... once again, nothing. I dont even own a BB and yet I'm doing my part in helping out. Think about it ... do we need a BB Thread still? |
I would've posted it, but I was too busy using BBM 5.0 :D
Anyways, I've been using it for about a week now, and LOVE IT! Even though there isn't much in terms of new functionality, it's still 10x better than the previous version.
On the no so good side, it appears that Pin-2-Pin messages have had technical issues since 1pm yesterday, all over North America (not sure about anywhere else). Originally it was thought that only BBM5.0 was having issues sending/receiving BB messages, however it appears to all versions where.
Some people were able to send messages intermittently, however for most people messages were not being delivered or received. The outage is still occuring and has been acknowledged by RIM that there is an actual outage.
*EDIT*
Everything appears to be working fine right now. I wonder if all of us BBM5.0 users screwed things up.

haha..I know. Don't worry.
Just as an FYI to others, BBM 5.0 will only work if you're phone is upgraded to a certain OS. Make sure that you have at least upgraded to 4.5.0.68 (I believe) before you try. I've read about people having issues if their OS isn't above that.

Had nothing do with BBM 5.0 at all....
But almighty did it make for a busy and hectic day at the office yesterday! Exhausting! Had to stay like an extra 6 hours... it was mental! |

Just downloaded the whole Europe Navigon Application
Its pretty amazing. Will come in handy when i leave this sunday to Italy and Spain.
Im just still confused as to how this works without any data connection.
It asks to use the GPS locator and allow the program to locate me, but doesnt that require data usage???? |

Yeah man, it was in my friends laundry room along with everything else I lost :conf: lol
My guess is someone found my pants outside some where after the pool party I was at and put them in the laundry room. They most likely fell off the deck into some bushes so they were dirty I'm sure haha. It's good to have my iPhone back lol. |

GPS does not use DATA! WTF you guys have that idea? The iPhone's A-GPS chip uses Sat Signals to get your location, not cell towers triangulation ... that's like the 1st gen iPhone crapp.
GPS Navigation Software all have pre-loaded maps, so you dont use any data to navigate to places. (Stand alone units :TomTom, Garmin & Etc do they have a sim card inside? only some now, for traffic updates in the states)
There are GPS Navigation that does use data such as TeleNav
Pretty sad you guys dont even know the basics of the iPhone or a GPS chip, next time you should use this to help ...

I was using xGPS a long time ago, without a data plan. |

This is great news. Hopefully the GPS chip is strong enough to work with these maps over in Europe. |
