Did you see this Co-pilot Live app that came out as well???
Seems very comparable to Tom Tom but at 40% the price...
I'd love to see a comparison... |

| For those of us without the 3Gs, check out the Battery Control mod on the ModMyI source - It allows you to show both the battery and / or the percentage value. F*cking excellent stuff! |

SBS Settings has it in the "more" opition dept. I never knew about it until one night I was bored. I don't like the batt %, gets me paranoide about my batt life. |

How I miss this sweet voice ...
Look what I've done ...
All the Red Light Cameras and Speedtraps within my area, the personal POI collection database I've been building for years.
EDIT: TomTom in 3D Map Mode is slow, and now I know why they didn't included "warn when near POI" function, takes a lot of processing power. I had TomTom on a cheese ass PDA and everytime there was a SpeedTrap warning, it was just process and play catch up when i pass it.
Dont know if I will be using this much I don't find away to speed up the slowness. It's really made for the 3GS, if you like the 3D Map Mode. |

| I used this today taped to the dash haha. Seemed to work pretty well and was accurate. I had a Garmin before so I'm used to sat nav telling me the next direction right after I finished the last one, but TomTom doesn't do that. It gives me notice, but doesn't tell me right away what my next direction is. Just something I need to get used to I guess. |

I'm having trouble sending and receiving text messages from Telus phones for some reason. The message shows that it sent, but it never arrives at the number, and when they send me a message, it never comes to my phone. I had no problems sending texts to this person until a few days ago when all of a sudden it randomly works and sometimes does not. I can send and receive text messages to Rogers customers no problem, they send and get received right away.
Has anyone else run into a problem like this with Telus customers? |

It works pretty good, but get some tape to tape it to your dash like I did LOL
The only stupid thing they didn't include, yet, is text to speech. Seems like a huge oversight in my mind, like what the hell, but hopefully they add it in an update. The stupid fackin thing talks in Miles instead of KMs, even if you select KMs, grrr. It's all the little things that piss me off haha. |

I'm curious as to why you chose it over a much cheaper and seamingly similar Co pilot live...

Works fine, i already have an adjustable mobile dashboard mount.
But it sucks lots of juice. Waiting for my iphone car kit from china before doing more tests. |

Basically because it's one of the biggest names in sat nav, so they know what they are doing, and will provide good updates and features. I'm not saying Co Pilot won't, but TomTom has been around since 91' and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. |
