AT&T is trying to stop that once and for all, that txt msg you got ... pops up with ppl who don't have a data plan. I was reading about how everyone was freaking out when it first started to happen.
It's happening here too now; as of July 1st Rogers / Fido will refuse to block any data on any account. Regardless what device you have and what not. |

Comex To Release Spirit Like Tool To Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (New/Old Bootrom) And iPod Touch 2G/3G On iOS 4
We finally have some good news for our readers who are tired of the complicated solutions that we’ve been posting to jailbreak iPhone, especially for users who have an iPhone 3GS with the newer bootrom.
MuscleNerd, member of the iPhone Dev team has just announced that Comex will be releasing a Spirit like tool to jailbreak iOS 4 for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS (irrespective of old or new bootrom) and also for iPhone 4.
MuscleNerd and planetbeing of the iPhone Dev team were tweeting yesterday that they were having fun playing around with iPhone 4 baseband to figure out how it to unlock it.
Since one needs to jailbreak the iPhone before unlocking it, some of their followers were wondering why the iPhone Dev team were working on unlocking iPhone 4 rather than a tool to jailbreak it first.
But according to MuscleNerd that’s not a problem as:
jailbreak for all devices at 4.0 is already handled by upcoming @comex release :) so, good time for iphone4 unlock stuff
Thus indicating that Comex should be releasing tools to jailbreak jailbreak iOS 4 for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS (old or new bootrom) and also for iPhone 4.
However, we doubt Comex will release the jailbreaking tool before Apple releases the iPhone software update (iOS 4.0.1) to fix the incorrect reporting of signal strength to address the iPhone 4 reception issues.

It's a little different for us here in USA.
They can text us what ever they want threaten people with whatever they can but they cant do !
They will get most people scared and those sheep will go to ATT and they will change their plans. But legally we have the right to leave our plans the way they are.
The only thing they can do legally is cancel the plan all together. Which I highly doubt they will. I have gotten threaten in the past that they were going to cancel my plan over some BS, but they did nothing. This was when I only had 2 lines.
I have 5 lines now (2 personal) my mom's line, my sisters line, and my future baby's moma's line all under my account. They would be stupid to shut me down. |

First, I would like to personally thank our dear friend informing us on the exact date of the IP4 training. I salute you sir and I'm so super grateful and blessed you've given us such breaking news.
Now, for those who don't understand why I asked the date to be removed. Its common senses here, our friend could lose his job for leaking such classified info and dates. We all know how much traffic TA receives and especially the amount of lurkers that come on here. Look at the amount of views this thread gets, right now it stands at 99150 viewed. You don't know how's viewing it, could another Rogers employee doing the lurking or another employee of carrier from Bellus is keeping a close eye? Who knows, but nuff ppl lurking on our info.
You have to be careful about what you post, especially a heavy traffic public msg board like us. I've heard from a very good source, this TD super high ranked employee got canned because of his careless'ness on Twitter.
Anyone who wants to know about the dates, pls feel free to PM one of us (not our friend of course) and I'm sure someone will be gladly to tell you the date of training session.
Release date wise, I'm pretty sure Apple will launch the IP4 first on July 23 or 24 and Rogers will follow their launch on Aug 02 2010. I might be wrong here, but everything is falling into place.
PS: None of the "Sites" know about the training date and you know they would love to get their grimmy hands on this info. |
