AT&T raises iPhone device tier on October 4th, perhaps signaling launch date?
We’ve just been handed some internal AT&T information on device changes:

A new tier of device will be created in AT&T’s phone database on October 4th (a Tuesday:) which will require a higher rate of insurance. _iPhone (and other devices) will move there on the arbitrary October 4th date. _It is curious that the iPhone was mentioned specifically and not other devices.
While light years away from a new iPhone launch date confirmation, it could be a sign that new iPhones will hit AT&T in this timeframe.
In any case, it might be a good idea to buy insurance before that date as the monthly prices are going up.
Thanks at&T!
(That means mid Nov for Canada. ) |

Ugh, just to make sure your of post John, it assumes that I'd have to wait mid Nov for a new iPhone?
Screw that, I'll get the 32 GB 4 (still an improvement from my 16 at least in terms of space...) |

I don't understand why is it so hard for me to give you advice ...
Do some homework if you don't trust anything I say.
Google these searches:
1) iPhone Launch in the US for the 3G, 3GS & IP4 dates
2) iPhone Launch in Canada for 3G, 3GS, & IP4 dates
3) AT&T HUP Tier changes for the 3G, 3GS and IP4 dates
4) iPhone Keynotes for the 3G, 3GS & IP4 and the launch dates, measure the days between the presentation to the release dates.
5) Apple staff vacation dates refusals |

Dude I searched THIS thread AND the internet for relase dates. They all say Sept.
I'll google what you mentioned. I've only heard you say "see the thread" etc etc and an HUP detail with the replacement I was getting (which still stands as a deal all things considered).
All I'm saying is this year is the only year where it's been delayed longer than usual for a newer phone release, I just want to know should I bother waiting or not?
Thx for your help J.:)
(and staff vacation dates refusals makes sense but doesn't really give me a specific date from now on. It only mentions in Jan/Feb of last year) |

1) Sept is Keynote in SF, nornmally it's the iTunes event and it's never launched on the same day as the keynote. It's normally 2-3 weeks for the US launch and then 3 -4 weeks for CDN.
2) Rogers HUP Policy (Yes they LIED to you, even employees can't HUP from IP4 to IP4S this year)
Starting May 5th 2011
30 months, Early HUP $20x remaining months
3) AT&T HUP Tier changes always lands on the iPhone launch.
4) The iPhones & iPads are always announced during massive keynote, 10000+ ppl attend them and the entire world is watching.
5) Apple, AT&T and Verizon Vacation refusal are always on lanuch date, it's all hands on deck.
*6) I forgot to mention this one; Apple's massive order for the next gen iPhone to Foxconn and this year Petaron, they always order them 4 -5 months a head* |

Awesome, you're the best. They are letting me HUP from a ip4 to another ip4 32 gb for $330 w the early HUP amt you mentioned. (they didn't say ip4s this year and I didn't believe I could anyway)
The launch date makes sense, they want support in the stores
As for the keynote in Sept and me waiting that much time, no way. I can't just txt/call for half a year, data is sweet.
Thx again! I'll pick up the 4 32 GB this week probs. |

Ask in the Android thread. Not sure why anyone with an iPhone would want Google+ |

My buddy has 190 invites and yes ... he has a IP4, iPad2 and MacBook Pro (2010). Ironic; he's the biggest Google Fanboy, but doesn't like Android. Dude is signed up with everything of everything for Google services, all beta vers too.
I can ask for you, current users are getting tons of new invites each day added to their accounts.
Google+ is damn solid, I *might* (most likely) sign up when the iPhone App hits the appstore. *CRINGING!!!!* |

For those who use the phone to make calls ...

I don't make calls or use the phone much, this explains the late screenshots. |
