I had one from 2008. I sold it a few weeks ago and, yeah - I'd definitely say it held it's charge just as well as it did back then.
Hmmm good to know, my personal record for the longest usage of warranty swapped 3G was 6 months and I didn't noticed any battery depleting of any sort for that time frame.
I know AJ had some battery suffering with his 1st gen, but it did come out in 2007.

How's the battery running on it now? Does it still hold a proper charge for your daily usage?
I haven't noticed any difference from the day I bought it pretty much lol. That phone's been dropped, the outta case broken and super glued, the silent/ringer button broken off, and it's still going strong haha.

That's what I thought last year... until I got my 3GS.. I have a comparison point now. When I use it a lot, I have to full charge it twice a day. I put it on Edge to save battery power when not needing high internet speed like foursquare and around me.

Apple's fall event is tomorrow, and we'll be there live!
So it's just around the corner. What are we going to see? Some new iPods? A revamped Apple TV? Updates to iTunes? iOS 4 for the iPad? A fix to your heartbreaking antenna problem? New, brightly colored iShoes? Or all of the above? It's hard to say, but luckily Engadget will be covering Apple's latest event live with up-to-the-minute coverage. As usual, we'll be providing the best liveblogging in the business, so you can just kick back with a cool drink and enjoy the show.
EDIT: First time in many years, Apple will be broadcasting this event live to any iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
AutoCAD coming to iPhone, iPad
As part of their grand re-introduction to Mac, AutoDesk has announced that they’ll also be bringing AutoCAD to iPhone and iPad:
The Mac version will cost $3,995, the same as the PC version, and will be released in October. AutoDesk will soon introduce a free mobile version of the software that will run on the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. That version has more limited capabilities, Mr. Hanspal said. But with it, an engineer, for example, could bring drawings to a job site on an iPad, rather than on a big roll of paper, and make annotations on them.
The mobile version will be able to read any AutoCAD files, whether they were created on a PC or a Macintosh.
Any AutoCAD users out there anxious to take their work around on iOS?
