For those who are looking for Power Support Screen Protectors in the GTA
Head over to Fido, they have this brand called TRU, and there's a sticker said Power Support on it. The terminology they use is identical as in this:

I would hunt down a crystal clear if they have them, Anti-Glare will kill the Retina Display |

'Signal' jailbreak app for iPhone maps out your towers, turns death gripping into a pastime

If you're familiar with Android apps like CellFinder, you've got a good idea for what this is -- and the name "Signal" is a pretty accurate representation, too. Basically, iPhone Dev Team member planetbeing has thrown together a neat little app that shows you signal strengths of your phone's connections to nearby cell towers along with their position relative to you (if the positions can be determined), an especially welcome utility considering that you can't access Apple's old "field test mode" in iOS 4. Our favorite part, though, has to be planetbeing's desire to turn this from mere information into entertainment -- and to hopefully take the edge off your pain and deep-set resentment over the signal strength and call dropping issues in your iPhone 4 -- by adding a mode where your goal is to get the signal to drop completely, at which point you'll hear the voice of Spock announce a Vulcan death grip. Who knew an engineering defect could be so much fun? If you're jailbroken -- or you're willing to jailbreak -- you can score Signal in Cydia for a five-spot. Follow the break for video of the app in action.
[Thanks, Pytey] |

The Easier Way to Install Flash on iPhone 4
In 3 Steps Using Cydia

Didn't you hear? Flash (well, Frash) came to jailbroken iPhones yesterday. But if that eight-step process was a little bit complicated for you, there's a new three-step method available right now.
It's actually the same basic scenario, just streamlined into a single Cydia package for your downloading convenience by the German-based Applephiles at Benm.at. According to iThinkDiff, on your jailbroken iPhone 4, 3GS, or iPad:
1. Open Cydia > Manage > Sources
2. Edit source and add http://repo.benm.at
3. Search Frash and install it.
And voila! Flash content should play to your heart's desire (though you'll need to tap the Flash component to get it to play). The whole thing takes just a few minutes, but won't work on your 3G due to processor architecture incompatibility. As always, proceed with caution! |
After installing it and reinstalling it I gave up.
It keeps giving me an error and doesnt want to work with my 4 :/ |

Not sure what to tell ya, it worked for me no problem.
I did notice that when it installed, it look about 3 minutes, super long, as I'm assuming it had to download things from the repo site. Maybe it's just bogged down with so many people trying to download it, so try it again a few more times. |

Yeah it's pretty cool, but I'm not sure it's worth $5. |

LMAO @ IP4 Antenna Issue (The dumb ass general public)
I'm getting signals in areas I never had before and that's coming from a iPhone3G
Example: Canadian Tire - Basement Level (Dundas & Bay)
iPhone3G - No service
IP4 - 4 bars and call 100% stable |

Man they are a bunch of liars...
I was inthere Friday and they said they didn't have any and no shipments on the weekends.. |
I was there too on friday, I was talking to one of the Apple people and its what he didnt tell me that made me go on Saturday. He said that if I were to come early on Saturday they might have a few phones in stock but its not 100%.
If you want a phone best thing to do is get to an apple store really really early. At least 2 hours before it opens should get you one. |

I've read about this and witnessed myself today.
Fido's IP4s are losing data connections. I've tried resetting all network settings, which normally works ... But that's a no go. Rebooting is the only way to get data back. This unit I tested today had the carrier update 7.2. |

What the is your problem with acknowledging this issue John???
Are you related to the idiot that let this get past design???
I CAN REPLICATE THE STUPID PROBLEM EVERY TIME I TRY!!! ITS REAL!!!
Are you saying that I am one of the dumb ass general public???
That being said, I font care about the problem because I'm always in a strong area and the performance of the phone outweighs it... |
