Foxconn is planning to replace some of its workers with 1 million robots in the next three years, reports Xinhua. Terry Gou, founder and chairman of the company, said that utilizing robots would cut rising labor costs and improve efficiency.
The robots will be used to do simple and routine work such as spraying, welding and assembling which are now mainly conducted by workers, said Gou at a workers' dance party Friday night. The company currently has 10,000 robots and the number will be increased to 300,000 next year and 1 million in three years, according to Gou.
Foxconn assembles numerous products for Apple and has been widely criticized for a string of employee suicides. The company employees 1.2 million people; however, it unclear how many would be replaced by these robots.
'Final Fantasy Tactics' Hits This Thursday, According To Square's Euro Blog
Yep, Final Fantasy Tactics will see its App Store re-release this week. The European Square Enix blog dropped an update this morning stating it’ll hit the iPhone and the iPod Touch on Thursday, August 4th at £10.99, which should be around $15.99. An iPad version of the same re-released PS One classic will see a release “later this month,” the blog states.
We’ve been following this one pretty closely as it has creeped through its development cycle. Last week we pointed out that it cleared certification, while in weeks prior we made sure to tell you that the project was once again moving smoothly after several, several, and several soul-sucking delays.
We’ll probably never be exactly sure of what the hold-up has been, but it feels safe to speculate that a lot of it had to do with the implementation of touch and technical and graphical re-turning, of which you can catch a glimpse of in the following footage.
It’s looking as delicious as a protein shake on a hot afternoon, so we’ll definitely get our dirty little hands on it as soon as possible. Stay tuned for more.

Apple launches iCloud and iWork betas, confirms pricing for extra capacity
Today, Apple launched iCloud.com as Beta. There have been some issues with developers and non-developers to log in. How ever, we could log in, and it is AMAZING. The email is pretty much the same as in Mac OS X Lion. The Calendar is pretty much the same as in the iPad. This are some of the images of what iCloud.com looks like:
Oh, and if you're wondering how much it'll cost you to claim more than those 5GB that Apple's tossing in gratis, the folks over at Electronista have confirmed that an extra 10GB will cost $20 per year, while an extra 20GB runs $40 / year and an extra 50GB will demand $100 per annum.

New Android trojan can record phone calls, expose your embarrassing fantasy baseball talk
Mobile malware is nothing new, especially for Android users who have trained themselves to navigate the sometimes shady back alleys of the Market. The fine folks at CA Technologies came across an interesting new trojan though, that does something slightly more unnerving than max out your credit cards -- it records your conversations. There's no evidence that this has actually found its way into the wild yet, but it's entirely possible that some nefarious developer could capture your calls and upload them to a remote server. Obviously, this wouldn't hold much interest for your traditional cyber crook, but suspicious significant others and corporate spies could have a field day with such capabilities. All we can do is suggest you remain vigilant and maintain a healthy dose of paranoia about any apps on your phone.

Rogers rolls out $30/month 6GB data promo plan again (data sharing between devices will now work)
Rogers will be rolling out the popular $30/month 6GB data plan again. It’ll start on tomorrow, August 3rd, for a “limited time” and the good news is that it can be added to any voice plan, or for new customers can be hooked on to the current $57.75 promo plan for $10 more (it’ll bring the monthly charge to $67.75 inclusive of the GRRF). In addition, this deal is also good for those want to data share with other mobile devices such as a tablet, 6GB shared data for an extra $10 and $15/month per device. To score this you’ll need to sign up on a 3-year term.
(Thanks tipster!)

ATTENTION ATTENTION!!!
I found this little thing out a while ago ...
This is not a crucial crash, this the transformation from IOS 4 to 5 and what you're seeing right now is a stealth OTA update for settings.
After the first launch of settings in iOS5 b3, in iCloud I had a lot of things missing and once I tried to launch settings ... this happens. After 5 mins, everything will be in iCloud and you're good to go.
I found this little update during my GF's update of iOS5, the first launch only showed "find My iPhone" and once it finished it's update .... everything was cool.

One thing I wish they would change in IOS5 is that the missed calls phone number would be a contact name instead. So frustrating since I didn't memorize all the numbers I have on file to guess who called.

I'm pretty sure it's always been like this. Only time i've seen just the numbers is when person who called is not on my contact list and it's from a landline without name display.
All my calls have the contacts names displayed.

Oops, I guess I should have mentioned it was in the SMS bubbles titled +8888. I'm assuming Fido sends this, but the phone knows the number as it makes it selectable for dialIng. If it can do that the it can search the contacts for name.
