To think of it, I may know why I had that 8% batt life drain for my trip home. I took a diff route, I went through southern Scarborough. That area is known for spotty signals in certain areas. I've seen signal drops on 2G once and afew on 3G modes in this area.
Normal batt drain, no idea ... during the ride home I normally charge it up and use Sygic to avoid RLC and ST.
My trip to work was down the DVP w/ 0-1% batt drain, we all know the mount of all cell towers are installed on those buildings and poles. Before Redsnow 0.9, this route would drain my batt life 20% w/ the iPod mode running. |

start queing your installs |
By this do you mean APTBackup? That is what I use. Sometimes it doesnt work properly though.
Also, what is that screenshot a few posts up with you showing your cued installs? Is that done through Cydia? Every time I load cydia, it tells me I have SHSH's on file for my device. Thats because when I first jailbroke my device, I chose the "make my life easier" button when I first loaded Cydia...........but im unclear on how to use them to resotre my Cydia apps after a fresh install. |

PwnageTool for iPhone OS 3.1.3 released for the version obsessed
While the list of tweaks is absurdly small in the latest iPhone OS update, we know that some of you simply have to run the latest and greatest OS at all times regardless of risk. Fortunately for you, the Dev-Team has stepped to with a new version of PwnageTool (v3.1.5 for Mac OS X) that handles the update to iPhone OS 3.1.3 with aplomb while preserving your device's ultrasn0w unlock and jailbroken state. As usual, there's a litany of precautions depending upon the device you own so hit the source link and read the dev-team's words carefully before proceeding. With a little luck, patience, and undue stress, improved accuracy of your device's reported battery level can be yours -- Huzzah |

I'm still with 3.0.1 JB 3Gs.
Is it worth it to go up to 3.1.3? What is the best path? |

From my exp, a lot of apps are moving forward to 3.1.x
I'm staying on redsnow 0.9 w/ 3.1.2, amazing battery life and preformance I'm getting. |

so the proper upgrade path now is to use redsnow 0.9 with 3.1.2 ?
Any precautions? |

| So. Moved to FW 3.1.3 and no issues so far, feels smooth and works fine. |

Yes, no need to fear anything if it's 3.1.2
EDIT: You should do 3.1.3 since your updating, might aswell. Just make sure you have a custom IPSW if you want to unlock your unit in the future. |

So what the hell would be the difference between the two that would make anyone bother to "upgrade"? |
