Seen all the changes to OS4 and it seems they might be listening to the jailbreakers after all, especially with the multitasking stuff. They really should pay closer attention to the jailbreakers as we're asking for features that are offered by and taken for granted with the other smartphones' operating systems.

Correction my friend, they stole all the ideas from the jailbreakers. That's the only reason why they allow it to stay alive. Just like xbox and their first console.
Don't like posting on ta w/ iOS4, laggy and a lot of errors.
You should jb your unit, the 3GS can handle everything.

That's really odd you started out like this, I would load everything up and work your way down. Process of elimination ...

I've read dev reports while testing, that Multitasking made 3G phones suuuuuuuuuper slow. Decided to pass on it for now. I'll have it all soon enough when I purchase my new iPhone 4 ;)

Before you get excited, this is a news piece, not a notice of release. Patience is a virtue.
It's been clear these days in jailbreaking land, as far as any new "ra1n" goes. However, that doesn't mean there is nothing going on. In fact, it's the complete opposite. Geohot has been rather quiet on Twitter these days, keeping to himself, however, behind the scenes, GeoHot has been hard at work creating, what I am starting to think, will be the next, best, jailbreaking tool.
George Hotz (Geohot) has been in France recently, taking part in the Nuit Du Hack conference. Started in 2003 by Hackerz Voice team, and inspired by world famous DEF CON, “Nuit du Hack” is one of the oldest French underground hacking conference to date.
During one of the "talks" held during the confernce, George gave a presentation in which he discussed the discovery of his newest bootrom exploit - which by the sounds of it, can eventually jailbreak or "pwn" every iPhone and iPod Touch available, including the iPhone 4. In fact, it sounds like he has something that could be used again and again for any new iPhone devices that are released in the future. The name he has given this project is "pwned4life"
Keep your eyes peeled. I suspect we may see this tool surface in the next few days or weeks.
Below is an 8 minute clip filmed during GeoHot's presentation:

Took a half-hour tonight to do some tweaking to my iOS4 install. Still running Jailbroken, still running wallpapers and still running the sweet ever-loving out of multitasking on my 3G.
Using the folder and multitask backdrop from the iOS4 beta builds and a modified SMS layout, along with a self-done Calibri font mod as everything from iOS 3.2 forward is using .TTC to render certain system fonts.. That was a bitch and a half. I've also binary-optimized all the PNG resources I've dropped in myself (wallpapers, UI elements) to speed things up quite noticeably.
In short? iPhone Yeah.
iOS4 is smooth. I love it.

Move one similar app on top of the other, and it will create one and suggest a folder name (quite logically) and you can rename it at that point if you wish.
I just reduced 9 pages of apps into 3 :)
