Good job your atleast moving in the right direction......If you jailbreak your iphone then you can have most of the apps store apps, games on your iphone for free.....You wont have to ever pay for an app or game.....I have 40 something apps and I have not paid a single cent ...... my new fav one is "I am a man" and the "GPS Tracker" which can track multiple iphones just like any gps tracker gives you pin point location of the other phone you have set for tracking.....you wana know where your significant other is?right now I have set my own phone on it so I can know if someone stole it where to get it from :p |
ok, thank you.
the gps apps sound very cool.
also i travel quite a bit and having games to play when sitting in airports and on flights would be awesome.
i did a google search for 'jailbreak iphone games' and came across DOOM for the iphone. read it briefly, but not enough to know if it is available, or they are working on it.
can you recommend any other games, uses or apps that would help me pass time when i find myself bored out of my mind waiting for flights?

There's about 15,000 apps in the AppStore ... hunt down what you like and install them through the jailbreak way.
(We all have to go through this - for jailbroken apps from cydia, check the first page) |

What are you guys using to install apps on the iphone? I am using cydia, but it seems like the apps are limited. Is there a website that you can download apps from and load them onto the phone?
I would search, but there are so many fake sites out there for iphone crap, I'd rather just be pointed to something that works.
Oh, and can you play divx yet? If so, how?
(haha, such a noob, I hate it) |

As long as you patched MobileInstalltion in your iPhone, you're all set for "installing" apps
*you guys have it easy, when it first came out ... you'll have to manually hack it by WIFI + SSH*
Look on this page & you'll see where to get the "apps"

Divx = No
Convert your divx files to mp4, 320 x 480 |

Just updated my "Backgrounder" and wow this is ing retardedly good. Has a new feature where there's auto enable assign to an app. So in this case, I set it to Beejive ... launch it once and bammm! It's running in the background allllllllllll day long. Even when the phone is in sleep mode, I can hear ppl msging me & will NOT log you out
The old ver would force quit when memory is running low and need the iPhone to reboot ... so beejive or any app quits.
Give it a shot, you'll like it alot.
BeeJive IM APP

and
Backgrounder

- DATA USAGE -
16 hrs w/ Beejive + Backgrounder = 1.4mb x 30 days = 42mb/month
(Still got 458mb to burn) |

I've been using beejive for about 1.5 years. First on my 8310, then my 9000, and now on my 8900. Since BB OS has supported parallel applications for a long time, there has never been an issue with background processing. It's great! I like that you can customize beejive's ringtones and alerts independantly of all of your other sound sources. One thing I wish they improved was allowing you to lock your BB from the beejive screen; apperently can't do that. Bug?
I'm roaming WiFi at home and work, I generally don't have to worry about data usage. Unless I'm out of those two spots, but that doesn't eat away at my plan. |

How come you didn't post this up for all the BB users dude? I did make this thread to help the iPhone and all BB units.
What other good apps for the BB out there ppl should know about? |

I've used Beejive. It's decent.
I mainly on use MSN so I stick with RIMs MSN Messenger. Works flawlessly.
Do you use Viigo? Probably the best app I have.
Its an RSS Feeder/Live Sports Updates/Flight Updates/Weather Updates plus a lot more.
Freelight is also good. It turns your phone into a flashlight and its free. It works great at night when you're stumbling home in the dark and can't find anything. It actually works really well and its free.
