I think LTE will change a lot as long as the infrastructure is there to support it. Think of an iPad with LTE + voip with any video feed as well. You could pretty much create data only devices that would work as a phone.
The 6gb plan was created (at the same cost of a 1gb plan pretty much) because people demolished the 1gb plan and enough of us complained. So I'm sure when LTE comes around they'll make us suffer overages for a bit then release a new plan with higher caps. |

| I can't speak much about overage... 500 MB and 2G speeds. Sort of hard to do anything with my phone. Thankfully Drudge, National Post and a few others have dedicated apps, so it fairly decent to read articles without going online :) |

New overusage policy @ Rogers and Fido starting Q3, $5.00/500 MB (maybe?) and can not be applied with Data Sharing plans. The traps are slowly being planned as we speak ...
The 6GB plan was created for the iPhone 3G launch, due to the complaints of our data fees in Canada and how much data the iPhone can burn.
Every carrier worldwide has the same format for data; once you hit over 5GB, the fair use policy kicks in or you get charged for your usage. Don't forget some charge extra for tethering ... We do have it ok sometimes. |

Apple will not hold iPhone 5 event on September 7th; launch could happen October 7th

An earlier report claiming Apple intends to hold a media event on September 7th to unveil new iPods or even its highly anticipated iPhone 5 are mistaken, Jim Dalrymple of The Loop reported on Friday afternoon. With a very solid track record to his credit, Dalrymple says his sources indicate that Apple will not hold any event or unveil a next-generation iPhone on that date. No information was provided in terms of when Apple’s customary September event might take place, however a separate report from TiPb suggests Apple’s next iPhone — be it the “iPhone 4S” or the iPhone 5 — will hit the market on October 7th. TiPb also reports that Apple’s third-generation iPad 3 will not launch at the same time as the next-gen iPhone, but rather next spring, in line with Apple’s traditional annual iPad release schedule.
(Too much IP5 launch rumors lately) |

iOS 5 enters beta 6 on 08.17.11; from what I know of Apple's patterns, they will do one more keynote to present the final ver of iOS5 and seems like it's gonna be the iTunes event in SF in Sept.
Speaking of which; my buddy stated, this keynote has always been about iTunes and music and nothing else. This is where they intro'ed the new iPod touch, but we haven't seen any parts and etc this year.

(Present iOS5 final ver, new iTunes and demo iCloud music matching)
In October of 2010, they had another keynote dedicated to the Macs.

| Apple related... Lion. I just noticed in spotlight you can do math equations, so you do not have to open up the calculator. |

Priciest Apple Store in the world set to open next month in Hong Kong

As five Apple Stores open up today including Anchorage 5th Avenue Mall (Anchorage, Alaska), Fashion Place (Murray, Utah), Southland (Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia), Conestoga: (RIM HQ Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) I Gigli: (Florence, Italy), the biggest store of the quarter and possibly the most expensive Apple Store in history is getting its wraps taken off in Hong Kong’s IFC this week.
Apple COO Tim Cook mentioned that the Hong Kong Store was set to open this quarter, along with 30 others in the Earnings Call last month.
We’ve heard from two sources, one a credit fulfillment processor, that the grand opening is set for September 24th. It spans six lanes of traffic and three-plus floors of Hong Kong’s IFC building.
Another monster Hong Kong Apple Store is set to open in Causeway Bay later this year. Another shot below (Readers, please send more!): |

The S2 didn't run smooth at all, even though it has a dual core CPU.
All apps killed, memory flushed and rebooted before testing.

Just for fun, I got a dealer to check on my HUP for today's date and this is what the system calculated as my total.
IP4 32GB
Early HUP fee $320 + IP4 32GB $259 +Activation fee $35 + Tax = $739.02
Last HUP was for the IP4 launch, July 2010 |

yeah.. its 30 months for hups and if you got the ipone4 or a BB 9800 your EHF is 20$ per month were other smartphones are 15$. IMO the eatrly hup program is best for people who do not have a Smartphone and want one as the EHF is only 10$ per month. |
