Why do you need to cry like a baby for? 6GB plan is back for the IP4 launch, offer ends 09.30.10
To answer your next questions, yes you can get that data plan without HUP to a IP4.
My best advice to you now, ask if they're gonna resign 3 yrs or contract stacking your existing data plan |
If I may, what's "contract stacking"? |

Just installed a double screen protector for the IP4, one for the front and back.
Even though the glass is amazing on the IP4 and doesn't attract or collect a lot of finger prints ... LOL the screen protectors I got makes it worst, I just feel safer this way. |

Also...
I guess no word on JB'ing 3.1.3 on new bootrom yet? Almost doesn't matter as I got my 3Gs set up so good I practically don't see the need to upgrade to 4 unless forced to. |

Official: IP4, 3GS, 3G on iOS 4/4.0.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.1 jailbreak hits from iPhone Dev Team (updated with video)

The Library of Congress made it legal, MuscleNerd showed us it was a go, and now Comex and company have delivered the long-awaited jailbreak to the fourth rendition of iPhone. According to their new page JailbreakMe, the hack works right on the iPhone 4 (or 3GS, or 3G, or iPad, or...) itself, using via the handset's Safari browser to reportedly break into most any iOS device. The servers are getting slammed pretty badly, and only a few Engadget editors have so much as seen the page pictured above so far, but rest assured we're testing this as we speak and will have more details up soon.
Update: Sorry folks, we've tried repeatedly, but apparently the servers just can't handle the load -- Comex tweets that the purple screens we're seeing are evidence of server fail. Here's hoping for a Cydia celebration when the stampede is over.
Update 2: Comex says you might want to reboot if you got stuck staring at that purple screen, and you could also try their backup server (click our second source link) to help the Dev Team divide the load.
Update 3: We successfully got the jailbreak to start working, but it crashed Safari. Upon reboot of our phone we've got... nothing but the Apple logo. Take note, this can brick your phone, so proceed with caution! Video of the experience after the break. After a reset, our phone is giving us nothing but the Apple logo. (Update to the update, the phone has been restored).
Update 4: Our intern Sam has successfully jailbroken his iPhone 4 according to this pic, so it can be done!
Update 5: Comex reports that iPads running iOS 3.2.1 aren't presently working properly, and that MMS problems after jailbreak are a known issue.
Update 6: Good news? Saurik (of Cydia fame) has pitched in to secure JailbreakMe some better hosting. Bad news? Reports indicate that FaceTime doesn't work after jailbreak, either.
Update 7: Seven updates? You bet, because it's looking like there's already a fix for the missing FaceTime and MMS features. Head on over to Redmond Pie (in more coverage below) for instructions to install the Cydia package that brought video chat back to two of our iPhone 4 handsets. If you're just downloading JailbreakMe for the first time though, you shouldn't need to do a thing, as Comex claims both have been fixed in a new version of the hack that just went live.

For those of you who were patiently waiting to jailbreak your iPhone running either iOS 4 or 4.0.1, your wait is finally over as iPhone hacker Comex has released a tool to get the job done. It is a web based jailbreak so simply point your mobile safari browser to www.jailbreakme.com and your wait will be over. Heck, you can even use this tool to jailbreak your iPad running 3.2.1. |

Oh , forgot about FaceTime over 3G!
Edit: Reporta claim FaceTime looks like over 3G, if that's the case ... Most likely staying legit. Nothing on cydia I use tbh. |

I got my iPhone 4 on Friday, waited in line for an hour (9am - 10am), but when they went to add it to my account for my HUP, the system was down lol, figures. Too many requests at once I guess. It was held aside for me by the Rogers rep, assigned to me, and she tried to activate it every hour for the rest of the day, no go. I finally got it yesterday at 3pm (although she finally got it set on my account at 8:30am).
Anyway, this thing is so friggin fast compared to my 3G, wow. No lag at all, just boom, you press the app and it opens. I was at Canada's Wonderland today and took some good video with it, works awesome. I'm lovin it so far :) |

Post yor videos dude! :p
I've made some test pics and videos too ... my God the camera is outstanding on this thing. Apple was right, MPs don't mean and it's all about photons. No way 5MP camera can capture this much detail on a normal point and shoot. |

Video: HTC Evo 4G Frees FaceTime From Wi-Fi (Sorta)
In our review of the iPhone 4, we noted that the FaceTime app worked fairly well, on a par with netbooks¡¯ webcams, but Apple has limited its use to iPhone 4¡äs connected to a Wi-Fi network. But what if there were a way to jury-rig it so that we could use FaceTime via 3G?
We found the answer in one of the iPhone 4¡äs main competitors, the HTC Evo 4G. By using the Evo 4G¡¯s Hotspot feature, we connected one iPhone to it via Wi-Fi, tricking the iPhone into thinking it was using a broadband connection rather than 3G. To cut down on variables, the second iPhone was connected to a real Wi-Fi hotspot.
So, how¡¯d it do?
In summary: Not well. Steve Jobs was right to limit FaceTime to Wi-Fi connections. Audio came through only in patches, and video was like a slideshow at best. We somewhat expected this ¨C we had the same experience when using Fring and Qik over 3G. So for now, limit your smart phone video chats to Wi-Fi.

Great way of describing picture quality not being about mp's only...
Think of pixels as little buckets that collect light...
You can have fewer buckets but if they are bigger and better they are better than more lower quality and size buckets... |
