So my gf and I just came back from a week in Florida. I have to announce that the iPhone 4 wifi sucks as bad as my old 2G. My 3GS was picking up and connecting to hotspots she couldn't even see on her iP4.
I tried fixing her up with Wifi Trak and eWifi, but it looks like all the good free wifi scanners have been pulled from the app store. I wonder why.

Samsung Galaxy S 2 is getting bashed, burned and criticized to the max from the entire Android community.
From the design, the materials and almost everything else, I haven't seen one positive comment so far.
This is not good for Samsung, this could be the gap for HTC & WP7 has been waiting for.

I've tested the 3G, 3GS and IP4 Wifi detections, on 4.0.1 & 4.2.1 and the IP4 detects way more networks then the 3G & 3GS. Maybe she got a defected unit or she could be on a older iOS ver maybe?
I work in DT Core, there's tons of locked Wifi's around me and all the testing was done with the OEM detections.
RE: Wifi Trak & the others being removed, I'm pretty sure Apple felt it was security issue. Since you can see hidden networks, security types and etc.
How come you needed to find a Wifi in Florida? Didn't you add a North America data package before you left Canada?

Of course it's legit, all the blogs sites reported it. Every iPhone owner is doing it on AT&T and they really don't want you guys to head over to Verizon.
Didn't you get the MicroCell hub? Yes you are the only AT&T user on here, but you're pretty much family now ... unfortunately :p

Nah I actually never got it. I was about to order it online and then I thought about my situation a little more. Because if I am at home and near my wifi it eliminates my need for 3G.
And now I actually have decent reception, I really never get dropped calls where I'm out most of the time time (Home/SD/LA/Vegas) but I do get the problem when I go to NYC or SF......

IP4 Wrong IMEI Story
I bought 1 iphone at apple.co.nz and I got two, I called them to tell and they asked for the IMEI number and serial number, they couldnt find it in their system or track any information about where the phone should have gone, they told me to keep it. fine I kept it!
one works fine, its unlocked for any carrier, but the one that came by mistake, the one that they couldn't find in their system is locked to vodafone, so I got a micro sim, activated it but as soon as it gets to the home screen a pop up appear asking to type the UNLOCK CODE and WRONG IMEI and the option to type the imei, I typed the one that is in the box but it says wrong, and when I go to Settings> General> About it shows the IMEI the comes in the box. In addition I get no service.
What should I do? is it a useless phone? should I call apple? even if the phone was sent to me by mistake? did they block it? whats is the unlock code?
