Are we talking the bandwidth limitation? If so, I've seen on Cydia for that. |
well if the file you want to download is over 10 megs and you're on 3G, it won't download. Its 150 megs with wifi. |

Alrightie - Hit up Cydia and search for "3G Unrestrictor" and pay $2.99, or you can just check your PM.

Lets face it, the iPhone is ty as a phone, but great at everything else. |
Comptely agree. I love it as a gadget, but i want to throw it against a wall when using as a phone. |

As I said before, turn off your 3G and you'll never get a dropped call.
3G Networks = Carrier's Prob
Our 3G networks had some major problems and even now with the upgraded HSPA+, they got some tweeks to work out w/ the data side. Notice sometimes it's just sitting there? Huge threads about it on Hofo regarding ALL devices, not just the iPhone. |

So far I've not had any issues with my iPhone, but I do miss the flexiblility of the Windows Mobile operating system. |

Who said anything about dropped calls? I'm talking about phone and communication functions in the iPhone. Being able set up different call treatments (at home, do this, at work, do this...etc). Let's not even get into file treatment, and document handling. I don't want to have to buy apps on top of a $300 phone, thats just dumb.
I loved it for my 4 hours of commuting everyday. As a multimedia device its awesome. I streamed all my shows and music from home on the go, or loaded it up and watched on that beautiful screen.
But now that I am moving 20min from work, I am seriously thinking of trading it in and getting either an android phone or Nokia E71.
And integration with Outlook? Broken at best. its easier to sync with google than it is outlook. |

Call treatments : Cydia app can take care of that
Docs stuff: Docs to Go (Former OEM app for Palm)
File Treatment: Cydia Apps can take care of that
There's always ways around any problems, just have to know what to do ... everything can be found in Cydia all limitations and restrictions are removed |

Well that exactly the problem. These are all hacks, and addons, that are not built into the system. What, you have to hack your phone, and go to a 3rd party app store to get the right functionality? That's just crazy. Or then pay for stuff that should be included in any phone in 2009?
Jesus, docs to go is $10 or $15! |

;) = the price lol
Thats why there's the Dev Team and everyone in Cydia are here to help. It's gonna hard to have a phone with OEM firmware that can do everything of everything right out of the box. |
