One more thing ...
"The good news is that Skype has also announced that they no longer have plans to charge users the monthly fee to make calls over 3G." |

| quote: | Geohot may be preparing for a jailbreak release according to a tweet sent out by mikecohenn.
Before canceling his Twitter account Geohot said that all future jailbreak updates would be announced via his friend:
| quote: | | please follow my good friend @mikecohenn for all future jailbreak updates |
Today mikecohenn tweeted: "What's a good time to make it ra1n?" Mikecohenn is indeed a friend of Geohot's as photos from his Twitter feed confirm.
Despite the message it doesn't seem to make sense to release a jailbreak when Comex's is around the corner. |

Here's another speed up for the 3G ....
Disable all the useless daemons. Daemons are startup files for your iOS, I'm testing this now and see if there's any diff in speed. There are repos that contain this, but I refuse to post it up ... Due to some pirated cydia apps found in them.
Some ppl had manually stripped so much down, instead of the reg 50mb of ram ... They now 80mb of ram.
Edit: So far so smooth |

which reminds me... I lost a call while multitasking while on the phone on Skype. I went to email a picture while on Skype, and my friend said I hung up when I got back to Skype (double-clicking home each time to switch) and called back.
It's only that one time I needed to... anyone else experience this before I dare to try again?
I was hoping this multitaking capability worked with Skype just like the regular phone. |

You have regularly 50mb of ram?? I only have 36mb of ram available normally haha. Not sure what the difference is here. I just re-jailbroke my phone as well so I don't even have anything on it lol. Ideas?
Also, I stripped out 10 "safe" Daemons and still have 36mb of ram available lol. I'm cautions to remove any unknowns and conditional ones for obvious reasons, although I'm sure that would free up enough for it to be noticeable. |

50 when you free up memory, normally 36
I did the 10 safe daemons too dude. Removal of the language packs is the 2nd stage, not gonna bother with that. my 3G is running pretty good now.
Thumbs up big up & great work
I'll be stripping down the IP4 once I get it, it's all about performance now. |

Ah okay cool, just wanted to make sure mine wasn't drastically different haha. Thanks!
I hope I'm eligible to upgrade to the iPhone 4, I really don't want to pay $700 for it haha. |
