wt! i haven't rebooted my BB since i upgraded the OS like 1.5 months ago
LightsOut
Even with my old first gen iPhone i noticed it needed to be rebooted often, maybe not everyday, but i'd say 3-4 times a week to keep it running optimal.....kinda sad if you ask me.

With my blackberry though, i've maybe rebooted twice since boxing day and its running just as smooth as always.

www.zedge.com and then select ringtones type in "minimal, electro, trance, tribal" whatever they have it free downloads just choose your phone and model at the start it actually converts ringtones into .m4r so it can go straight to your ringtones in itunes once you play.......ing sick site.(havent tried it for my pearl but BB users can try and see if it works).

e.g of some of sick ringtones(just click play to preview):-

No doubt. I have my E61i up for sale now. Gonna get E71.

Have you seen the new N97 that Nokia is realeasing in summer? Thoughts? Comments?

All devices need a reboot from time to time.

-Two Blackberry units I’ve seen needed a reboot, 8700 & 8320. No idea how long they’ve been on. Had to take out the battery for 2 mins and placed it back in.

-Nokia N95 needs a reboot after using Garmin Mobile XT for a few long trips.

-Palm 650 & 680 needed rebooting the most, if not it would crash often.

-HTC Touch Diamond needed rebooting pretty often also.

-iPhone 2G & 3G needed a reboot at least once a week.

The unit with the most heavy GUI + high res screens would need it the most and the ones with mid res or less res screens wouldn’t need a reboot that often.

Mind you, it's less than the Treo cost several years ago, but still a little pricey.

I got mine for free or $50 (I can't even remember now, sad) after wrangling with Rogers' retentions on the phone. At the time, the normal price would have been $99. I suppose it's gone up?

I also can't seem to find any information at all about the PDA functions on the E71. It just says it has "office applications". I'm really interested in the phone but it's not going to be of any use to me if there isn't a calendar, tasks and alert system that's at least as good as the Treo. And of course all of the lame-ass mobile phone stores only put shells on display, won't give you access to anything that actually works.

Has anybody used or at least tried this phone as a PDA?

It syncs with Outlook, can open Office files, has a full on calendar with to-do list and memos and alerts and all sorts of . If your Treo had it, this has it and then some. This is Nokia's flagship high-end business device. It's jammed with all the right stuff.

As for ringtones, yes, it allows you to set anything you want as a ringer. The only Rogers you'll see on the phone is a boot screen when you turn the phone on.

Get one, I promise you'll love it.

So I bought an iPhone last week but updated the firmware before I knew about jailbreaking it.

I now have version 2.2.1

Am I basically screwed for jailbreaking at the moment?
