Worse thing Apple has ever done, is to sell this protection plan to someone like me!

The iPhone Applecare is stored behind the genius bar, not visable on the floor. They must not want ppl to know about it lol
My original warrenty ends 090909 < -- ironic eh? |

I seen some used iPhone 3Gs phone's for sale on Craigslist. If I look at one of these I want to make sure of the following:
Is it a clone?
Can the shell look identical to a real one?
Can I tell if it's a clone?
Is there anywhere in the software menus telling me it's actually 3GS?
Perhaps at $400 it's really too good to be true (maybe fell of a truck?) or can it be mass purchased in the US and brought up for re-sell?
It says it's unlock, that would be easy since a sim card being inserted and would have to work right away.
It says it's unbricked. That doesn't matter, but how can I tell?
Any help would be hugely appreciated! |

The clones don't run the macOS, they run WinCE. I had a clone, that craigslist dealer, Jay, was a nice guy and gave me my money back after 2 failures. Don't bother with the clones. I learned the hard way.
Unlocked means you can use any provider's sim chip.
Unbricked, means that at one point the phone's software crashed, and needed to be restored again.
Jailbroken means you can now load software from other sources than apple. |

iPhone Facebook 3.1 Details

Facebook 3.0 shipped this week, and developer Joe Hewitt - who made a highly-publicised plea for the removal of the entire App Store approval process in the prelude to his app making it onto the store - spent time with ReadWriteWeb to chat about what he has planned next for the Facebook 3.0 App.
Hewitt’s a developer’s developer, his previous work has included the co-creation of the Firefox web browser. He’s named three improvements he hopes to implement in a future release of the software.
The developer confirms true push notifications are scheduled for introduction in v.3.1 of the
iPhone and iPod touch-friendly software
iPhone and iPod touch-friendly software , saying, “We are working on push. I plan to have it in the next major update, the 3.1. It will be the same kind of notifications you get on the website.”

Hewitt is also working to develop saved, site-wide search features within the Facebook app, though he was unable to promise this would be introduced in 3.1.
Finally, he also wants to synchronise contact lists between your Facebook friends and iPhone contact lists. Apparently what’s in the way are terms of service and privacy restrictions, rather than any technical problems. The way this may work could be that when your friends call you their Facebook avatars pop-up on the iPhone’s screen |
