| Since more multitasking APIs are coming out, it's time place multitasking back for a proper testing. |

I had nothing but trouble with using mobile internet when I updated and couldn't go back to 3.1.2. Even when I updated the carrier settings, still the same. The apple store guy just handed me a new phone (3.1.3 OS) and I'll keep it like that until next update to OS4. The only reason I like the jailbreak is because of MyWi (such a handy app). |

Note: I used RecBoot in OS X, and from what I've read, the Windows version may have some peculiarities. First, you'll need .NET 4.0. Second, you may need to run the application in Compatibility mode if you're not running Windows XP (Right-click the EXE -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP). You'll also need to download libusb, which may also be peculiar on 64-bit systems. Read up on using RecBoot on Windows HERE.

As explained above. Plus I voiced my concern that since I was stuck at OS4 and went home, I might wake up the next day after a restart and get no internet again. It's too important for my job (contracting). So at the end he just suddenly said he'll swap phones... which is how I got back down to 3.1.3 (ed up backing it up with cydia with prior phone).
Now I wait patiently until OS4 isn't so ed... for me. |

The replacement was handed to me with 3.1.3 installed. I thought the guy was going to upgrade to 4, but he didn't. |

Most replacements are one FW lower then the present ver. It depends when you go in for a swap.
It's too bad iOS4 & new bottom chaos is ruining your day. |

Not that bad I guess (i'm 3.1.3 for now)... I hate that so called "multitasking" for one. I asked the guy what happens if I run 20 apps? I'm not going to sit there and close each one every ing time since they're all waiting for me to do so! The "backgrounder" app I use now does a wicked job and I choose on the spot whether or not I want to multitask the current opened app. Otherwise it just closes normally. Total control ! |

With the multitasking API, its a save state and freezes those apps until you launch them again. No need to close them and letting them sit in that new dock wont bother your unit at all. After time they just bumped off and the new apps moves in.
I think this better then backgrounder, saves so much battery and cpu power ... since theyre not running in the background, just froozen. Its really smart tbh, i would never thought of that ....
We have to let the new APIs settle in and just get use to it. |
