Without the Dev Team, you wouldn't have a proper software to jailbreak your iPhones. Indeed; the recent exploits are found by CDV and Geohomo, but you fail to realize it's the software build that matters the most. Sure you can jailbreak with the other guys, but having buggy & slow performances sure doesn't make it worth while for ppl who enjoy jailbreaking._

Everyone claims "I have no issues and problems with the other teams", but they're the ones who don't fully test out all the diff jailbreaks to confirm who provides the best software._

After jailbreaking and modding for almost 3 years now, I can confirm 100% that the Dev Team is light years a head of everyone with their software. I've posted tons of proof and made many ignorant ppl realize it at the end._

Now you wonder why I jailbreak and test all the recent types of software to pass on the results for everyone here? (Even when I'm fully legit) If I didn't do that, wouldn't I be just ignorant too?

(Spelling error, thanks for pointing that out Nick. "pretentious")

You never answered my question. I asked "wasnt he the first one to hard unlock an iPhone?" I never said anything about software. Try to keep on point.

Yeah I got that SMS too, none of those products are good and that's why Rogers is slashing the prices on them.

Which of the two products did you get btw?

Though his rise to geek fame wasn't without a bit of controversy (and he acts like a douche on occasion), you have to respect the kid's technical brilliance and the heat he's getting right now is just completely unwarranted.

Users reporting Gingerbread update (Android 2.3.3) causes screen discoloration on Nexus S

We’ve received a handful of tips from frustrated Nexus S owners claiming that the recently released Android 2.3.3 update has an unwelcome side effect, screen discoloration. Reports indicate that after the Gingerbread update, the Super AMOLED screen on the Nexus S becomes yellowish and washed out. We’re not sure if Google messed with Android’s color settings, but the difference — as you can see from the picture above — is quite noticeable. Any Nexus S owners out there seeing the same thing?

(I really hope they get their together with the Nexus S. Lately the list of problems just keep coming and none of their users are happy, even I'm no happy to hear this. After fixing one critical bug, another pops up and this is really ed up for all Android users getting closer to 2.3 Gingerbread)

Plantronics BT Headest is ok for emergency use in the car, with the windows up of course. But for the hardcore BT headset users; the Jawbones have such amazing noise canceling tech and even driving super fast with the windows down ... it's super clear. This made ever other BT headest obsolete.

Griffin Screen Protectors aren't that great; material is too think, clarity is horrible with the anti-glare and matte finish, to the point is too forsty. The home button cutout is not a circle, it's cut like a upside-down "U". I hope they don't ship you this ver (Yes I know this is privacy ver, just trying to show that home button cut out)

Griffin Graphite Ellen case is too thick & chunky, in general Griffins build quality are so so.

For the price of all these items are ok, great for "me not care" and short term use so don't feel like you got ripped off.

Apple testing Android-like gesture-based lock screen for iOS

Apple has been working on a new gesture-based lock screen for iOS devices that works similarly to Android’s “dots” lock screen feature. The user sets up a pattern and needs to input that same pattern in, instead of a password or a four number code. Apple has already deployed this new lock screen internally for use in the employee ‘Apple Connect’ application for iOS devices.

There is no word on whether or not this new lock screen will make its way to iOS devices for users. We were told, though, that Apple will be pushing this lock screen down to some of their internal applications in the future. For example the applications retail-store employees use.

Apple is even planning on bringing this down to their new mobile payment system business, on the EasyPay machines. The lock screen looks just like Android’s lock screen, which Google probably has patents on, so this might never see the fingers of consumers. Three more screenshots of the system are after the break.

(That's gay, there's no need for code or pattern locks anymore thanks to Mobileme tracking. Even before then, unlocking any iPhone with these methods was a pain in the ass. Let's hope it stays in the internal & staff apps only)

I wonder when Apple will apply the front facing camera to snap a pic, geotag it and send it off to an email type of security)

... as long as your NOT a 3GS phone!

Funny thing is that a U.S. carrier (Verizon I think) is madly promoting sales for the 3GS phones. They just leave out the fact that Apple's support for them is being put in the garbage !

It's AT&T that's doing it, they always slash the price of the previous gen iPhone to $50.00 w/ a 2 yr contract @ this time frame. They did it for the 3G last year.

The only CDMA iPhone is the IP4 for Verizon.
