One should note however, that not everything is publicly available yet. These guys are hard at work trying to get everything ready. So if your thinking to update to iOS 4.1 assuming there is a jailbreak, you should slow down, as things take time and need to be released properly. Remember, what they are talking about here is a Tethered jailbreak, but that doesn't mean an untethered one will follow suit, as this exploit is an initial starting point for all new untethered exploits to come as well. My guess would be that when a release does come around, it will include the ability to be untethered, otherwise it would be much more ideal to stay on iOS 4.0.1.
Using this method means that Apple cannot fix this exploit without updating it's hardware first, just as they did with the iPhone 3GS bootrom exploit. So until they update the hardware, there is hope for all of us. Does this mean you should go out and buy your new iDevice before they fix this? It's not going to be any time soon that Apple will be doing hardware updates, so don't get too worried just yet.

MultiMusicInfo is one of the first tweaks that allows you to see information of the song currently playing in the iPod App. With this tweak you can view the artist name, song name, album info and what's really cool is that it actually replaces the iPod icon with the album cover of that song. Once you have it all set up, you can configure this tweak from Settings app.
Gridlock is a powerful new tweak that allows you to arrange the icons on your springboard however you would like, with the ease of drag and drop.
If you're still using iBlank or have a theme that requires an odd layout, this is definitely for you. For theme designers this could also be a huge deal as you could now set up themes in a completely new manner. There are a ton of great themes that require a lot of management to get them to work properly, but with this tweak it could provide a completely new way of looking at how a theme can work and interact with it's counterparts, essentially making it that much easier to completely transform the look of your iDevice.
The app is fully compatible with Infinidock, Infinifolders, FCSB, Iconoclasm, and FiveIRows and more. However you will not be able to arrange any icons via iTunes for obvious reasons.

AWS 3G iPhone 4 coming to Videotron… and T-Mobile USA?
Videotron launched their mobile unit today and along with Nexus One and BlackBerry Bold 9700 they said Apple would announce an AWS 3G (the higher spectrum 3G used by upstarts Wind, Moblicity, and Videotron in Canada, and T-Mobile in the US) “in the coming months”.
My usual thinking is that carriers have little if any forward knowledge of Apple’s plans, so take this with a Quebec-sized grain of salt.
If Apple wants to have a truly universal GSM/HSPA 3G phone, however, they’ll need to enable or add those AWS frequencies at some point.

Since you live pretty close to that mall, no joke at all and with all serious matter about this ...
Check @ 9:30pm, if there's a line with 30 ppl ... Jump in and prepare yourself for camp out. If no one is there, keep checking back every 3 hrs until you see the line forming.
Remember on launch date there was 450-600 ppl at Eaton Centre and Fairview Mall when doors open @ 7:00am. This line could be even bigger or smaller, but a lot of ppl are still hunting the IP4s.
The weather is gonna be very cold up there, bundle up and bring a chair. Also see if you have a buddy to camp out with, it's gonna be a long night.

Foxconn making 137,000 iPhone 4s each day
BusinessWeek this morning has an interesting read ¡ª a profile of the head of Apple¡¯s main iPhone manufacturing partner, Foxconn¡¯s Terry Gou. Gou notes on Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, ¡°I forced him to give me his business card¡±.
Foxconn now produces 90 iPhone 4¡äs a minute, 137,000 per day at its Longhua plant. That extrapolates down to 1.5 per second or up to 50 million/year.
¡°Foxconn founder Terry Gou might be regarded as Henry Ford reincarnated if only a dozen of his workers hadn¡¯t killed themselves this year,¡± the report observes, before launching into a full-scale exploration of the man whose factories produce more than their fair share of techno-heaven.
The report begins during a celebration (of sorts), where employees and management got together to put on a show to lift damaged morale at the factory, following those suicides which marred the year.
Read it and you¡¯ll find a thorough deconstruction of how Gou built his empire from scratch using cash borrowed from his mother, how Apple and the firm almost parted company over employee conditions in the past, and how Dell cut the cruelest low to no profit manufacturing deals.
On the iPhone 4: ¡°When Apple¡¯s iPhone4 was nearing production, Foxconn and Apple discovered that the metal frame was so specialized that it could be made only by an expensive, low-volume machine usually reserved for prototypes. Apple¡¯s designers wouldn¡¯t budge on their specs, so Gou ordered more than 1,000 of the $20,000 machines from Tokyo-based Fanuc. Most companies have just one.

Feel like you've been missing out on FaceTime because you don't have a new iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4G? Well fear not, as word is coming down the pipleline that Apple plans on bringing FaceTime to both the Mac and Windows operating systems.
Mac4Ever rumors that Apple’s FaceTime video calling will be headed to Mac OS X in the form of an iChat update, but interestingly enough, it will also be coming to Windows. While it is unsure what form FaceTime will take in Windows, it is understood that FaceTime is built on open standards and has been released as an open standard, which means we could see it completely integrated into existing services like Skype, Windows Live Messenger, or even built right inside of iTunes.
This would be a very smart move on Apple's part, thus making FaceTime a more universal concept that we could see spread like a virus. Doing this makes everyone connected with Apple's technology, iDevice or no iDevice. Back in 2009, Mac4Ever predicted well in advance, Apple's October 2009 iMac refresh, including the addition of an SD card slot and quad-core processor, however even through all of this, we will have to wait for official news from Apple.
What are your thoughts on this rumor? I personally would love to see an iChat for Windows get released.
