They want to go after every single person that's ever downloaded or been on his site. When they get that, will they then go after those ppl's contacts too? How far deep in the chain can they go?
Sony can spend millions in legal fees... this guy hasn't a chance.

If Geohot didn't boosted his ego and taunted Sony in his videos, I don't think they would be so fierce with this case.
Look how Sega delt with all the pirated teams with Dreamcast saga.

I rarely put the IP4 in silent mode, iOS 4.3 has new vibrate pattern for SMS.
Two short vibrate, instead of one vibrate.
VDub
Vibrate is so in weak on the iPhone...
Motor must be so small though...

Ironically, my GF's vibrate is super strong on her IP4 and the entire office can hear it go off when someone SMS her. LOL
I haven't seen any motor on anyone else's like that ...

So you guys really think Sony will be Geo in court?

Samsung VP Calls Their Own Tablet "Inadequate"
The iPad 2 announcement has met with favorable reviews pretty much across the board, with consumers and tech writers alike finding much to cheer about with the lighter, faster tablet. Praise came from an unfamiliar source on Friday, though, as the vice president of one of Apple's main competitors called his own product "inadequate" in comparison. Samsung VP Lee Don-joo also signaled that they might have to lower the price of the Galaxy Pad 10.1 to compete.
Lee, the executive vice president of Samsung's mobile division, told the Yonhap News Agency in South Korea that they "will have to improve the parts that are inadequate" of its forthcoming Galaxy Tab 10.1, and indicated that they were somewhat surprised that the new iPad had better performance in a new form factor at the same price. "Apple made it very thin," Lee said.
Samsung has been preparing the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to compete directly with the iPad. The company currently makes the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, which costs as much as $900 US without a contract. The iPad's continued low price creates a real obstacle to acceptance of Samsung's offerings, which is even more the case with the larger Galaxy Tab. "The 10-inch was to be priced higher than the 7-inch," Lee said, "but we will have to think that over."
The Motorola Xoom, considered by many to be the most serious competitor to the iPad, costs $799 without carrier subsidy, or $599 with a two-year contract. A comparably equipped iPad retails for $729, and pundits have argued that the Motorola tablet's pricing and the lack of an entry-level model "will shoot it in the foot." Samsung may yet have an opportunity to save some toes, but it will need to be a lot more aggressive than it has been on price.
(Oh , the brutal turth will force you to produce better products ...)

iOS 4.3 GM Jailbroken Using PwnageTool
Apple will be releasing iOS 4.3 on March 11 and seeded iOS 4.3 GM to developers of iOS developer program few days back.
If youre wondering if iOS 4.3 can be jailbroken then the good news is that iOS 4.3 GM has already been jailbroken using PwnageTool 4.2 that iPhone dev team had released to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1.
DjayB6 has released unofficial custom bundles for iOS 4.3 GM for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPad that need to be used along with PwnageTool 4.2, Universal Ramdisk Fixes and tetheredboot utility to jailbeak iOS 4.3.
Currently, the jailbreak is tethered for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) and iPad, while the jailbreak is untethered for iPhone 3GS (old bootrom). Cydia also seems to be working fine on iOS 4.3.
It remains to be seen if iPhone Dev team or Chronic Dev team will release a untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3 when it is released.

iOS 4.3 Vs iOS 4.2.1 Safari Speed Test
When Apple previewed iOS 4.3 at the iPad 2 media event, it revealed that one of the major improvements of iOS 4.3 is faster Safari performance.
Apple had explained that the faster performance was due to the new Nitro Javascript engine, which runs Javascript twice as fast as iOS 4.2.1.
Folks at iSpazio have carried out some tests to find out the real world performance improvements of Safari browser in iOS 4.3 GM compared to iOS 4.2.1.
You can checkout the video to checkout the results:
Gizmodo also carried out a similar test, unfortunately their video has been pulled as it probably violates iOS developer agreement to publish videos of iOS 4.3 GM but they observed that iOS 4.3 GM was just a few seconds faster than iOS 4.2 loading the NY Times in Safari.
iPad 2 Speed Test: 4x Faster Than iPad 1 (iOS 4.2.1), 1.5x Faster Than iPad 1 (iOS 4.3); 3x Faster Than Galaxy Tab
Folks at CNET UK who got a chance to get their hands on the new iPad after the event, ran a quick benchmark test to find out exactly how fast it is.
They carried out JavaScript SunSpider benchmark test to find out the real world Javascript performance on iPad 2 and compared it with the original iPad (iPad 1) and competing Android devices.
Here is what they had to report:
Incidentally, when you compare the iPad to the other devices we tested, Android phones and tablets don't come out particularly well. The Galaxy Tab is more than 3x slower than the iPad 2 in this test, and about 2x slower than the original iPad with the new software. The Google Nexus S smart phone doesn't fare too well either, at nearly 3x slower than the iPad 2.
CNET also reports that iOS 4.3 that comes pre-installed in iPad 2 is also another reason for the improved Javascript performance. Apple has ported the Nitro Javascript engine used in desktop version of Safari to iOS 4.3, which Apple claims loads Javascripts two times faster. The tests carried out by CNET also indicates that it is a lot faster:
There's really good news for iPhone 4 owners out there: when it arrives, iOS 4.3 will deliver a 2.5x speed increase in this test.
Once we'd updated the software on our iPad 1, the gap between the two devices narrowed considerably, with the iPad 2 coming out at just 1.5x faster than the iPad 1.
iOS 4.3 will be released on March 11 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iPad, the same day as the launch of iPad 2.
The graph below gives a better idea:
It goes without saying that iPad 2 will be faster than the original iPad but it is always interesting to find out how much faster it really is.

You mean iOS 4.0.1? Canada has never seen 4.0 on the IP4:)
(iOS 4.0 was the whole antennagate saga era w/ messed up antenna calculations)
Are you using a 3GS or IP4?
I would just stay put for now, regardless what iDevice you're using, unless you have the old skool 3GS with the first bootrom :) The jailbreak for iOS 4.3 GM is tehtered, the 11th is just around the corner and who knows whats gonna happen.
Lots of hidden little baseband traps Apple had deployed since 4.2.1, just beware what's going on now.
