As I mentioned before many times for the 3GS owners; stay where you are, any iOS vers after 4.2.1 is really not worth updating for you guys. It might even have poor performances after updating, lots of reports with the earlier vers of 4.3.x
I do have to say though; for the IP4 wise, out of all the iOS 4.3 updates ... 4.3.3 is just as smooth as 4.2.1. I can't confirm this for the 3GS users.

Updated iOS 4.3.3 Jailbreak "May" Reduce Your Battery Drain
I0n1c reports that the updated iOS 4.3.3 jailbreak released this morning "may" also reduce battery drain.
BTW: by using the latest RedSw0w you also might decrease the battery drain.
Process Priority was not restored after the kernel exploit. That might have caused some battery drain.
You can find more information on the RedSn0w and PwnageTool update here.
"Update #1: PwnageTool and redsn0w have been updated to include a fix for the iPhone3GS/i4 side switch vibration issue (only for 4.3.3!). Thanks to @i0n1c for tracking this down (even though he doesn’t even have an iPhone!).
If you’re already jailbroken at 4.3.3 (by either redsn0w rc15 or custom IPSW), you can install this fix simply by running redsn0w rc16 over your existing 4.3.3 jailbreak. Just uncheck the “Install Cydia” option and check any other options you want. The fix will be installed no matter what you’ve selected. This is safe for even ultrasn0w unlockers to do (because redsn0w itself won’t update your baseband…only an iTunes stock IPSW update/restore will do that).
redsn0w rc16 has a few more improvements: Windows 7 and Vista users should no longer need to set their CPU affinity…just run redsn0w as Administrator in XP compatiblity mode. Also, the “verbose boot” option for old-bootrom iPhone 3GS has been fixed for 4.3.3 (remember: old-bootrom 3GS users can even have custom bootlogos that show right at power-up). Enjoy!"

Werd, my IP4 hasnt run so good since the 4.2.1, Im totally happy with it again. Its been running like a slow POS since the 4.3 update
For the heck of it, I ran the latest redsn0w, seems nice. The device is super snappy. Love it.

It seems like near the end of whatever iOS ver timeline, Apple likes to around and cause some strange poor perforamnces with the OS by misc add-ons & tweaks.
Example:
FW 2.0
2.1 - crappy
2.2.0 - crappy
2.2.1 - back to normal
FW 3.0
3.1 - crappy
3.1.1 - crappy
3.1.2 - back to normal
iOS 4.0
4.3 - crappy
4.3.1 - crappy
4.3.2 - crappy
4.3.3 - back to normal
(Seems like 4.3.3 could be their last ver for iOS4, since all the jailbreak exploits and basebands have not been update. Also iOS5 sneak peak is next months WWDC)
It's all in their marketing! :p

NO MORE USER CHECKPOINTS - US SENATE
Bud Tribble, Apple’s long-time vice president of software engineering, testified before a US Senate subcommittee yesterday alongside Google’s US director of public policy Alan Davidson. The two executives_fielded questions from Senators related to privacy issues and the practice of location data gathering via mobile devices running iOS and Android software.
Senator Charles Schumer said he was having issues with apps like Buzz’d and Fuzz Alert and expressed his disappointment that neither Apple nor Google pulled down those programs yet, even though RIM did. He suggested Google looks “narrowly” at third-party programs which help avoid police DUI checkpoints.
You agree that it is a terrible thing, and it probably causes death.
Challenged by Senator Schumer, Apple’s Tribble said his company is “looking into” the legality of DUI apps.
We’re in the process of looking into it — we have a policy that we don’t allow apps that encourage illegal activity. If the apps intent is to encourage people to break the law, then we will pull it. I will take that back.
Both Apple and Google have been asked to provide more detailed answers within 30 days, This is my next reported. Makes you wonder what’s next – going after benign_programs that assess your driving skills?
This March Democratic Party Senators Harry Reid, Charles E. Schumer, Frank R. Lautenberg and Tom Udall wrote a letter to Apple, Google and Research In Motion, demanding that DUI apps be taken down from app stores because they are “nothing but a public safety hazard”.
In a knee-jerk reaction, the Senators wrote they know that Apple, RIM and Google share their desire to “end the scourge of drunk driving” before demanding in no ambiguous terms that such apps be either pulled or “altered to remove the DUI/DWI checkpoint functionality”

The DUI thing I agree with, apps helping people get away with that are a bit much. No debate whether DUI kills people or not, it's tried and proven.
The speed trap thing though is weak sauce. It's widespread public knowledge that to some degree speed traps exist for revenue generation. They're constantly coming out with new tools to make more revenue with less work, so in my opinion it makes sense the public should be allowed to use tools to help in becoming "revenue" for police.
Neither of those issues come even close to the privacy protection issue though I think they'd be much better off focusing on that.

So I got a phone call today from my Service Provider.
Apparently, "unlimited doesn't mean unlimited." I have been using "too much data" yet THEY WONT TELL ME HOW MUCH I HAVE USED.
Anyone know an app that tells me how much data goes up and down?
They asked if my phone was "modified" and if I was "tethering," I just acted like I had no idea what she was talking about.
I hit on one of the girls from last time I spoke to their customer service (which is in the Philippines) and she added me on FB. I just asked her a bunch of questions regarding what they know and what they don't know.
Sucks that they are already messing with me already in under a month!

That's bull. I would file a complain with the BBB. You cannot tell somebody they are using too much, and not tell them what they are using. I ran into the same problem for Google, with gmail apps. I said, until they tell me the limit, I'm going to keep sending loads of emails. They have not said anything since.
