There'll be spots where the iPad seems to excel and others where it looks as though it's lacking; The iPad (as with all iOS devices) are built from the core on stability, simplicity and an application ecosystem that no other company could ever hope to create - harmonious hardware and software solutions. |
Irie mon, everything counts now. Not just the hardware anymore. |

| They'd better get on Jailbreaking this, I can't WAIT to get this onto my phone and try it out.. I'm guessing it'll be no more than a day. |

PwnageTool can do the betas - So it's only a matter of time. Hopefully sooner than later, I'm itching to get this up and rocking (I've already backed up all my DEBs haha)! |

I heard Apple patched up all the expolits and blah blah blah in iOS 4.3, that's why everyone released 4.2.1 to the public.
Let's just hope it comes out soon, with the unlock too. :) |

So 4.3 is going to let me tether now w/o a jailbreak?
ATT charges an extra 20 bucks for this capability, how are they going to enforce that with this capability?
Also Verizon for dropping their unlimited plan soon, ATT needs to bring that back...I'm hurting hahaha |

Sorry to tell you, Personal Hot Spot must be enabled by the carrier as tethering to be activated. :(
"Though it was kind of implied during the iPad 2 event yesterday when we learned that the GSM (that is, non-Verizon) version of the iPhone 4 would be getting iOS 4.3 with mobile hotspot capability on March 11th, we've doubly confirmed with AT&T today that the carrier will be offering the feature right out of the gate -- a departure from the tethering delay of days gone by. Naturally, you'll need the tethering feature added to your account, a $20 surcharge over the standard 2GB DataPro plan for a grand total of $45 with a 4GB bucket. Makes the extra coin a little easier to swallow over cabled and Bluetooth tethering alone, we suppose"
(From the testing I've done, it does burn a lot of data and the population in the US surpasses Canada by far.) |

I got my accessory package from Rogers yesterday and I'm pretty pleased for the price...
The 3 Griffin screen protectors, John, are non glare and they do surround the home button. They also come with a cleaning cloth. I'll let you guys know how they go on when I try one on...
The Plantronics Bluetooth earpiece is pretty good. It's basic. You can only answer, end and initiate a redial from the earpiece button. My wife said she heard me perfectly well although the volume is a little weak...
The Griffin case is ok I suppose. It's more plasticky than the free one I got from Apple. It's also in two pieces so I'm gonna put that one away as a back-up or I'll just give it away...
All in all, it's a pretty great deal for $20. It's also great that you can order any of the three individually for the same prices.. |
