that's because she's using a trick that I didn't want to talk about.... apple stores ask those waiting in line those who want to pay the phone full price (no upgrades)... those go ahead first (even if they're last in line).
This being said...
Once you buy it, you go back the next day, saying that you want to return it because your carrier wants to upgrade you...... thats when they refund you the difference:p |

I've done that for the GF's unit, which was legit. She didn't want to accept a gift with that price tag, so I was allowed to return it and HUP it. Her unit was still sealed and unopened when I pulled that string, since every store refused my little return swapping HUP thing. Keep in mind, this was done one week after launch date.
The reason why they ask ppl if they're buying device only or HUP, HUPs take forever and they want to kill the lines. Plus they want to make it fair to ppl for both cases, that's why there was such a long line up on launch date, HUPs to even longer since Rogers sale central was taken down and crashed for those many hours. |

So I got my free case from apple. The clear snap on from incase. It will stay in the package cause I got the incase slider in matt black.
SICK case..........one problem. There is no screen protector thin enough to fit in it so that it doesnt bubble when the case is on.
SO.........
I got out my dremel, and made a 45 degree chamfer on the inside edge that would normaly touch the iPhone's screen and made clearance for the screen protector.
I got the HD antiglare sheilds from the apple store. (totally awesome BTW, Best screen protectors out there)
Now I have a super sexy slim slider case and a bubble free flawless IP4 screen.
Little modification and it looks like it was factory installed.

Great job dude.
The screen protector I got from Hong Kong fits perfect within the black plastic from around the IP4 and doesn't overlap it. The Incase Snap case doesn't touch the screen protector. |

Verizon would love to carry iPhone, maybe 4G LTE will accelerate process
Chief executive Ivan Seidenberg told investors he hopes Apple will build a Verizon iPhone for their upcomming 4G LTE network. He said nothing about an iPhone being built for Verizon’s current CDMA network, however, so contrast that as you will against recent rumors of Apple building 3 million CDMA iPhones in December for an early 2011 launch.
“We don’t feel like we have an iPhone deficit. We would love to carry it when we get there, but we have to earn it,” Seidenberg said.
“I think 4G will accelerate the process, and any other decisions Apple makes would be fine with us,” he added. “Hopefully, at some point Apple will get with the program.”
Either way, it will be an interesting couple of months comming up. Verizon is currently the largest carrier in the US and they have promised 4G LTE in 30 NFL markets by the end of 2010. AT&T is also working on their 4G network with promises of a mid-2011 rollout.
