Another problem I'm having is that the SMS app seems to be crashing. I received a message today. I view it. When I try to navigate back to MESSAGES, the app shuts down. For fun I deleted the sms.db file and rebooted, but the same happens. When I go into the SMS app, the top says New Message, but I didn't ask to create one. Same thing... crashes (turns off) when I press the go back "Messages" button.
I got someone to msg me and I can view it (because I pressed REPLY), but same crap... crashes when I press the go back "Messages" button.

So for some reason it seems to have fixed itself. I received to messages this morning and just viewed them. Perhaps it was because I deleted the sms.db file? Not sure, but this problem is all over Google when I did a search. :(

The only thing I can think of ... maybe it's MyWi, Rock extensions causes some serious problems.
Try restoring it as a new user & go stock for a day see what happens, then JB and test without MyWi
I havent heard of this problem yet ....

From the few people I've talked to be prepared to wait at least a couple more weeks. Or go to to an Apple store, they do carrier HUPs there.

If you like the BB, stay with it. Lots of BB users are jumping ship as we speak ...
thats the one thing i dont like about iphone users.. they think the mobile phone world revolves around them. i see quite a few ex-iphone users switching to blackberry on my facebook too.

No dude that's the andriod users, they are the so called elites of the elites LOL. What I stated before was from a previous post a few days ago ... indeed there will be switches from iPhone to BB too, not many though.
Believe it or not the stats are pretty true here.
BlackBerry users running out of loyalty: 50 percent plan to defect to iPhone or Android
Nielsen has its own angle on the smartphone numbers game out today, and the results vaguely resemble the numbers from Canalys. Perhaps more interesting than the ever present market share tug-of-war (Nielsen pegs Google, RIM, and Apple at 27 percent, 33 percent, and 23 percent in sales to new smartphone subscribers, respectively) a note on brand loyalty turns out ugly for BlackBerry: while 89 percent of iPhone owners plan on getting another iPhone, and 71 percent of Android buyers plan to re-up, only 42 percent of BlackBerry owners plan to stick around. The defectors are pretty evenly split, with 29 percent planning to go iPhone, and 21 percent to go Android. That compares to 2 and 3 percent in the iPhone and Android camps planning a move to BlackBerry. We'll see if BlackBerry 6 can solve this little problem for RIM, but the few tweaks we've seen so far seem hardly capable of stemming the flow.
Every mobile phone is diff, they are all design and have diff purposes. There's no need for the childish phone wars, especially on TA. I used to be like that, now I've been using an iPhone for almost 2 years and I dedicate myself to help others here.

Only because someone steals their iphones, probably BB users come to think of it. :haha:
It's a vicious cycle.
I was a dedicated BB user for 5 years as my good buddy works in product development for RIM. I always had the latest BB for free within 2 weeks of release. Started using a friends iphone and seeing how easy it was to navigate the web and aps and never looked back.
It's pretty obvious right now BB is trying it's best to keep up. Without their BB Messenger the general consumer would be thinking pretty hard on staying with them. They've even gone to marketing the hell out of it on their commercials right now trying to hold on to the die hards :)
