Reports of MacBook Air Problems Spread
An increasing number of new owners of 2010 MacBook Airs are reporting random kernel panics, freezing and display distortion with lines across the screen, and inability to wake from sleep, but no issue has yet been acknowledged by Apple. There are already a couple of discussion threads on Apple's support forums, and one MacBook Air owner posted the YouTube video above showing the issues he's experiencing.
The problem is getting a high profile as some Mac bloggers' Airs are showing similar symptoms. Cult of Mac staff writer David Martin "observed horizontal sparkling bands running up and down the screen," he writes, "but the computer did not freeze," writes David Martin. He also notes that in addition to editor Leander Kahney having two kernel panics on his 13-inch MacBook Air and one on his 11-incher, Martin has experienced one that he "attributed to my attempting to boot with an SD card built on a MacBook Pro." Also, Serenity Caldwell of Macworld is having trouble with her 11-inch MBA, saying that it "randomly cut to a gray screen during Screen Sharing and only a reboot could cure it." She's also seen the screen "turn a variety of colors: gray again, tan, gray-black, and - on Monday - blue." An unnamed Apple Genius who worked with Caldwell reportedly said that "the Air's logic board might possibly be at fault."
The day the new models were announced, Apple released MacBook Air (Late 2010) Software Update 1.0, which fixed a problem where system became unresponsive while playing a movie trailer in iMovie or after waking from sleep when an external display is connected. Apple's general operating pattern is to not admit any problem exists until they have a tested and verified fix ready for release, but affected users should still head to the Genius Bar without delay.

Update your Paypal app…Security flaw found
The hackers at the Wall St. Journal have discovered a security hole in the iOS version of the Paypal app which allows a hacker sitting between your iOS device and Paypal servers (most likely at an Internet Cafe type setting) to spoof the Paypal security certs. The PayPal app bewilderingly doesn’t check the validity of this certificate.
A hacker would need skill and luck to make use of the vulnerability, which only affects users of the iPhone app connecting over unsecured Wi-Fi networks. It doesn’t affect the company’s Android app or users of the PayPal.com website.
A pretty blatant oversight by a banking company, nonetheless. Here’s how it goes down:
The PayPal hole results from the app’s failure to verify the digital certificate for the payment service’s website. Such certificates function as electronic ID cards that let a user’s device know a website is legitimate. Without that confirmation, a sophisticated hacker could electronically step between a user and PayPal, pretend to be the PayPal website and gather usernames and passwords.
In practice, that could mean setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot in Times Square and waiting for someone to use the network for a PayPal transaction on their iPhone app. It would be a fishing expedition, but the equipment and software needed is commonly available.

Should be out in the US appstore too, I saw it in Canadain Appstore once the news broke out.
(Yes, the other sources will have them too)
I won't be buying this; rarely any sites I visit nowadays need to load any Flash videos.
EDIT: LOL x 100!
Skyfire disappears from iTunes App Store due to technical difficulties (update: 'sold out')
Trying to get a copy of the Skyfire browser for your iOS device? You may not have much luck, as the pseudo-Flash-capable browser has just disappeared from iTunes App Stores around the globe, mere hours after its splashy debut. When we try to download it for ourselves in the United States we get the message immediately above, and RazorianFly readers are chiming in with reports that the app is no longer available in Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Spain and the UK.
We just pinged Skyfire for comment and they say it's not Apple's fault; demand for a Flash video workaround is apparently so high that the company's having server issues and decided to pull the app rather than introduce new users to a sub-par experience. Skyfire assures us that it's adding servers as quickly as it can, but didn't provide an ETA on when we might see the app once more.
Update: While we're not sure how an digital app can be "sold out," that's exactly what the company says happened to its $2.99 browser today -- after quickly becoming the top grossing app in the iTunes App Store, Skyfire is "temporarily not accepting new purchases" and says it will issue Facebook and Twitter status updates when the next batch of licenses is available. In other words, Skyfire's throttling the flow of purchases from now on. PR after the break.

Step-By-Step Instructions To Enable HD Video Recording On iPhone 3GS
If you own an iPhone 3GS, you may be aware that it does not quite match the video recording capabilities of the recently launched iPhone 4. The latest iPhone model captures videos in HD format whereas videos on iPhone 3GS are captured at just 640x480 pixel resolution.
However, if you are not looking to upgrade
your iPhone anytime soon, here is a trick to start capturing HD videos on your iPhone 3GS.
Here are the step-by-step instructions to enable HD video recording on your iPhone 3GS.
Step 1: You need a jailbroken iPhone for this procedure. If you haven't done it already, click here for step-by-step instructions to jailbreak your iPhone. Please note that jailbreaking your iPhone may void your warranty and hence proceed with caution.
Step 2: If you are a Mac user, click here to download the Cyberduck application for Mac. Windows users need to click here to download the WinSCP application.
Step 3: You will now need to configure the settings of Cyberduck and WinSCP.
Cyberduck
Server: Enter the IP address of your iPhone 3GS. You can navigate to Settings –> WiFi –> on your iPhone to view this
Username: root
Password: Your SSH password. The default password is “alpine”
Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
WinSCP
Hostname: The IP address of your iPhone 3GS. Go to Settings –> WiFi –> to view this on your iPhone
User name: root
Password: alpine (or the SSH password that you have set)
Protocol: SCP
Step 4: Click here to download the HDVideo3GS-rev3.zip file to your computer.
Step 5: If you do not have OpenSSH jailbreak app already installed, launch the Cydia app and install it on your jailbroken iPhone. Please note: Using terminal applications like OpenSSH can be pretty risky and could require you to restore your iPhone if it is not done correctly. Proceed with caution and as always, do it at your own risk.
Step 6: Connect iPhone 3GS to your computer. Ensure that iTunes is not running.
Step 7: Copy the following three files from the HDVideo3GS-rev3.zip file (AVCapture.plist, CameraRollValidator.plist and MediaValidator.plist) to the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N88/ directory on your iPhone 3GS using Cyberduck or WinSCP.
Step 8: Reboot your iPhone 3GS to complete the process.
You should now be able to record HD videos on your iPhone 3GS. Here is a sample HD video recorded using iPhone 3GS:

I got skyfire.
Works surprisingly good. Servers are crammed because did take a little bit to load a movie.
It wasn't on the app store of course. And it works good but I have to be careful what to click because sometimes frash wants to take over.
This will be perfect for streaming ufc nfl when I am not at home. :toothless

Found a problem in iOS 4.2, the A-GPS chip does not lock on fast and takes a while to gps coordinates.
It was the first time I got the 1013 error after updating and restoring.
Let's hope it's just a GM problem and final ver will be fixed.
