how would i go about unlocking it so a UK or european SIM will work in it? does this mean ill have to jail brake it as well?
thanks.
Search the thread it should tell you but as far as I know (because I'm doing the same thing next year) you only have to unlock it. Also, you'd have to grab a microsim over there obviously...

iPhone 3G users, what's your battery life right now? Talk time and standby time wise.

ROGERS LTE SPEED TEST - TORONTO!!!
Let's not talk about pricing yet, the speeds are pretty nice and once Rogers hit 150 mbps, we're kickin ass.
Let's hope once it's fully deployed speeds are "stable" and price is not an arm and a leg.
Apple granted patents for iOS’s virtual keyboard and 5 icons
These days, patents are king. It seems that every week there is a fresh new patent infringement lawsuit. There’s billions at stake and the lawyers must be loving the payout. Over the last several weeks/month we’ve seen a couple high profile acquisitions, Nortel sold their 6,000+ patent for $4.5 billion to Apple, EMC, Ericsson, Microsoft, RIM and Sony. Then a couple weeks ago Google bought Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion and boldly stated that “Our acquisition of Motorola will increase competition by strengthening Google’s patent portfolio”. This is all about being competitive and keeping their intellectual property protected. Apple and Samsung are suing each other, so are Motorola and Apple and Microsoft and Motorola… the list goes on. Every patent counts these days.
Today, Apple was granted a few patents by the US Patent and Trademark Office that consist of iOS’s Virtual keyboard, patent number D644,238, was originally filed in November 2009 and the inventor credit was given to Bas Ording. This gives Apple protection on how the keyboard looks and operates. The other key patent, again related to design, is patent number D644239. Apple can now claim ownership to five related icons covering Camera, Podcasts, Photos, Artists and Featured.
Now no manufacturer can copy the design of the virtual keyboard, nor their pretty icons. Regardless of how many patents are granted, the feuds will continue.

It's called searching, as endless said. The search is at the bottom of each page.

Lookup the Gevey Sim too, that might do the trick if you don't want to jailbreak.

I thought Gavey doesn't work? There's a link in here which says apple blocked it I'm pretty sure. Also my uncle from across the pond tried using Gavey to no avail. He got it working but I dunno if it's w that same thing.

Apple blocked the Gevey Ultra Sims starting iOS5 Beta 2 w/ baseband 04.11.08.
It's been posted before :)

If you want to test out the tether Jailbreak for iOS 5 B6, i strongly suggest you to restore your iPhone before you begin.
This makes a previous "clean" unjailbroken back up, once you wanna go back to legit ... just restore from that clean backup. You'll see what I mean, when it's done and you'll notice it's time and date stamped.
1) Backup current iPhone
2) restore from the back up you've just made
3) once restore is all done, hit back up again and rename the iPhone
I strongly suggest you not to jailbreak it, since it's tethered and you need to hook it up to a comp when you reboot or run out of power.
