They're in NICE! Smaler than the regular bold, more Tour/8900 size (I bit bigger), but better camera and trackpad! It's a nice device, hoping to hook up one of those at work! |

Just an FYI, i got the curve 8520 which has the trackpad as well...
and the trackpad is ing SEXY! It's literally 10x better than the Pearl.
I'm pretty sure that all the new BBs will discontinue the pearl as this trackpad is awesome. It's hard to explain without physically using it, but its just so much smoother and awesome.

Why not the Bold 9700? theirs tons of signs already, unboxing videos of the 9700 via AT&T, confirmed launch parties the first week of November in new york and LA....its also showing up on sales central and Rogers has historically been the world launch carrier of many blackberry devices.... |

It might be ready for the beginning of November, but don't think for October 26th...

I get the launch dates... STORM 2 was supposed to be last week... but happens... they change day to day.
They may be in Salescentral (used to work for Rogers, so I know what that is), being shipped, and even training on them and job aides, but hefty fines would be given if they leave the store or are sold. Of course places are preparing for it, create a buzz. But they are not coming right away...
Rogers will get first dibs in Canada sure... but when can the general public get them, up to RIM. |

The "P"earl is the 8100 series BlackBerrys (BlackBerries?)
The "p"earl refers to the pearl-like (or clit-like, as more than a few ppl have commented) replacement to the old scroll wheel on the side of phones which is now apparently being replaced by the trackpad. :)
I like my Pearl and the pearl... but no doubt the new trackpad is more wicked and better to use than the pearl. |
