Kepted upgrading downgrading at least 8x, until finally I went back to 3.0.1
Its kinda true of that theory, "why fix it ... If ain't broken?"
I did tried to explore and give 3.1.2 a shot, custom ipsw and full upgrade ... Not worth it |
i have to agree blackrain isnt what its cut out to be but its good for a free jailbreak and unlock even though i have the new iphone with the bootrom, ill wait it out till a new version is out |

I've got a huge problem!
So i backed up my phone through itunes, and went to reset and erased all the data and settings. It took two hours to do that, but now all I can see is the pinapple, and its been over an hour. Is it suppoed to take this long!?
I've been having trouble with spotty connectivity, and Rogers asked me to reset my phone, I thought it would be ok doing this.
Is there anyway to recover the phone in his state, or is it bricked? |

I put the phone into recovery mode, and restored it, and its working again. thank god, i really cannot afford a new phone right now.
I'll admit, i freaked out a bit, but its all good now. |

Have no fear, unless your unit has been through water damage ... you can always restore it to OEM state.
My buddy's iPhone3G ringer switch just fell off. He got it in July when it came out and didn't buy AppleCare like I suggested.
The unit is out of warrenty now ... |

| so im about to purchase a new iphone 3gs tommorow. (my first iphone) i have been reading around about jailbrakeing it, and from what i understand it can be jailbroke but it will be tethered after i do this. i was also reading that if it has a certain week date or something on it it might have an older bootrom on it that will allow it to be a untethered jailbrake, is this correct? where do i look for this number? will a untethered jailbrake be released? thanks for your time and sorry for the newb questions. |

the dev team should be releasing their JB ver. soon. Hold out til then. U don't want to go the Blackra1n route. |

| my screen is shattered on my iphone, anyone know a good place to fix it downtown (Yonge/college area). I've had it for a while and the warrenty is done.. so I need a 3rd party fixer. |
