It's a prototype not final product, *removalable battery cover (batt testing) was the biggest hint* Plus everyone reported mix reports about it, Engadget claim it was real, BGR claim it was clone from Japan and only Gizmodo was able to give us the verdict.
Therefore nobody was right about this, only Gizmodo.
"Pretty much confirming what pretty much everyone has suspected since at least Monday, if not late Sunday, Apple has formally and officially asked Gizmodo for that iPhone 4G/iPhone HD back. That means it’s Apple property, and probably something close to what we’ll see when Steve Jobs holds it up on the WWDC stage in June." |

Here's Jason Chen, who has the iPhone. And here's his address. You two should coordinate a time.
[Blah Blah Blah Address]
Happy to have you pick this thing up. Was burning a hole in our pockets. Just so you know, we didn't know this was stolen [as they might have claimed. meaning, real and truly from Apple. It was found, and to be of unproven origin] when we bought it. Now that we definitely know it's not some knockoff, and it really is Apple's, I'm happy to see it returned to its rightful owner.
P.S. I hope you take it easy on the kid who lost it. I don't think he loves anything more than Apple. |

I have AT&T's 30dlr a month unlimited data and MMS plan. Its media net unlimited or something like that. I used a cheap phone and got the plan with that phone. Put the sim in my iPhone and i spent 2 weeks getting told it was impossible and banging my head on the wall trying to figure out how to make it work with the iPhone. Well eventually i did. :D
So I dont have a regular 30dlr iPhone plan and 20dlr MMS plan, saving 20 bucks a month. On top of that i get a discount because i am a US postal service employee ;) |

From what I've read, AT&T is retarded in the states. The iPhone must have a data plan, no excuses @ all. For example, say you have non data plan for a reg phone and you got an iPhone of someone or wanted to borrow it of a buddy. Once you place your sim into the unit, the network automaticly assigns you a data plan by default.
Even though everyone claims Rogers are a bunch of a conartist, be glad we're allowed to get an iPhone w/o a data plan & call in to ask for data block. Which has 3 diff levels of blockage. In the past it used to be add $50, but now it's $200 for any HUP on any PDA Phones.
Yes the iPhone is pretty much useless w/o a data plan, but it's all about the freedom is the main focus here. |

Yes VERY glad! It's exactly what I did.
Question for you though... For those rare occasions I wish I had internet when I'm not near a wifi hotspot, ask Rogers to turn off my data block, and enable 3G on my iphone, what rate will they charge me per mb?
I am aware of them having a one-day only option of 2 bucks or something for 20MB for some emergency download or email check, but I don't know if it will work if I have no block, and just enable the 3G and use it for a little bit and turn it off. |

I have never had this issue.
This is true only when the phone hasn't been "activated" or unlocked. Once the phone is unlocked or activated or both, you dont need a data plan at all. It makes the phone worthless, but you dont need it. My buddy that has a special plan that he has from like 7-8 years ago. He just put in his sim card and was good to go with an jailbroken 2G i sold him. No changes were made to his account, and hes happy that he has a glorified iPod with wifi haha.

When I first got iphone #1, I didnt have a data plan, and proceeded to stick my SIM card in the phone. Bam! I had internet and everything was working.
Little did I know I would get raped on my next bill for using youtube and maps a few times.
AJ......Rogers has a great data plan for 40 bux.
Call waiting
call display
unlimited text messaging
voice mail sent to you via text
and 500 MB a month usage (im on facebook, TA, youtube every day and I never reach my limit)
Add that to a 25 dollar voice plan with my five, and your looking at less than 90 a month taxes and service charges in for a great smart phone.
Bundle it with cable and internet and save 15%
Reasonable I would say. |

I get all that and then some for under $40 with taxes without the data.
I wish there was a 100 MB add-on. |

0.05/KB
One Day Data Plan your talking about is pay as you go, no idea if your allowed to have that on post paid.
Just get a data plan dude, no point of limiting yourself and not enjoying what the unit is suppose to fully do. I almost cancelled my data plan a last year, but realized I would be the biggest fool to let go a data plan like this. I have the same one Robst*r stated, but only paying $20.00 a month. *minus the VM to txt msg opition and VVM added*
The iPhone is pretty much usesless now unless you jailbreak it and have a data plan. But, 4.0 might be diff story ... i'll go 100% legit if it's that smooth on any unit.
EDIT: 100MB is not enough for entire month usage. I use about 345mb w/ Wifi heavy usage too. |

It's sweet and I hope they let me keep it for ever... |
