I've got the 25$ 500mb data add-on with rogers a couple of weeks ago. I can cancel anytime :) I got it bc I went on vacation in the maritimes and I needed the convenience.
If I call back, would they give me the 6GB for $30, even if I'm post-contract? I can expect them telling me that if ever I cancel it, I won't get it again :P |

6 gig data promotion is on a 3 yr data term with ecf fee between 5-100 $ |

They should give it to you, and they will tell you its only a promotion and wont get it back. They told me the same thing when I thought I lost my iphone and wanted to suspend the data package.
If they give you a problem ask to speak to a customer retention rep. |

I don't have a laptop ... 500MB is more then enough for me.
If you do have a laptop, you're a crackhead if you don't take this $30/6GB plan. All the AT&T ppl are crying we have it so good!
Dont even think about it, go and sign that 6GB plan and nuff ppl were crying / begging to get that plan after Rogers took it away! |

Yeah thats what i'm doing, i wonder if i'll be able to play some TF2 while not at home. |

I just got off the phone with them. The frontline girl told me they offer the 6GB/mo only on 3 year terms, so I would have to change from month to month to a 3 year voice plan as well. This kinda sucks.
Has anyone else here had to extend their contract to 3 years or add another 3 years in order to get this?
She said even retention won't do this since it's a channel thing... not sure if I buy that. |

| Im thinking about getting the 30GB plan...but it will only make sense if they will give me a credit on my current plan since it includes 500mb... would I have to call retention for this? or can regular customer service offer credits? |

I got the new plan effective this Sunday and I didn't have to extend my contract on that line. I have 3 with Fido. |

Right thats on the the voice portion of your bill, you can have have seperate contracts or sub contracts for data plans or value packs that have their own term even if your voice plan no longer has a contract. The 6 gig data plan is great deal and it has its own contract that 3 yrs with an ecf of 5$ per month left on its own term with a maximum ecf fee off 100$. |

Got my new plan set up so that I'm paying $51-ish all-in, including the 6GB data.
