Video showing how easy its to unlock an iPhone if you don't have the password. Took 6 minutes.

I'm pretty sure that was hacked WITH a password turned on...
Their point is if you lose your iPhone, remote wipe it 'cause it's vulnerable no matter what...

How do you accomplish that?

BRAVO NICK!
Nick is right, it has to be jailbroken to gain that password retrieval. Any device "Rooted" or jailbroken can easily obtain the root folder. That's gonna gain you the passwords embedded within the OS with the right software.
Losing your smarpthone is bad enough. But if you lose your iPhone and don't issue a remote wipe command (available for free with the Find My iPhone app) then you could find yourself in a world of hurt. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute Secure Information Technology (Fraunhofer SIT) can jailbreak and decrypt passwords from the iPhone's keychain -- for say, your Gmail account, corporate VPN, home WiFi, and MS Exchange -- in about six minutes using existing, known exploits. Sorry kids, your flimsy lockscreen passcode won't help. Video proof, after the break.

Obama announces plan to free up 500MHz of spectrum, invest in 4G for rural areas, and build out nationwide public safety network
We knew the White House was on board with the FCC's desire to free up an additional 500MHz worth of spectrum over the next decade from private and federal holders, as announced last year, and now Obama has announced the plan to do it. The plan is to incentivize the current spectrum squatters with a share of the revenue gained from auctioning off the spectrum -- mostly for mobile broadband use -- which only seems fair, and for now it seems those auctions will be voluntary. But that's just the tip of the iceberg: the plan also includes a $5 billion investment in constructing 4G networks in rural areas (with a goal to reach at least 98 percent of Americans with the service), a $3 billion fund for 4G R&D to help the rollout, and $10.7 billion for a wireless public safety network. The beauty of this plan is that all these proposed costs are offset by the spectrum auction, which is estimated to raise $27.8 billion, of which $9.6 billion will be dedicated to deficit reduction. Oh, and the best news? The government has already found 115MHz worth of Federal spectrum that it can free up by using its other spectrum more efficiently, and has another 95MHz worth in its sights. Hit up the source link to see President Obama's speech on the subject, which has just begun, or check it out embedded after the break.
(Wow 500 mhz 4G spectrum is indeed the future)

From what I read, it won't work for me on my 3GS unless I set up an account on a 4G machine?

Yes I've posted the walkaround a while ago here, you need to be on iOS 4.2.1 and there's no such thing as an iPhone4G :p

Warning though, the IP4 or iPod Touch 4 Gen that's need to active this service ...
MUST be remotely wiped and removed from the account, or else you'll be tracking two devices at once. Which could be a bad idea if youre using a friends unit.

Apple to sell smaller $200 iPhone off contract? Carrier lock-in killer?
Dust off those iPhone nano rumors!
Bloomberg is reporting that Apple is working on a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone for sale off contract. The prototype was about one-third smaller than the iPhone 4, said Bloomberg’s source. (kinda like a HP Veer?)
To keep prices down, the smaller phone will use a processor, display and other components similar to those used in the current iPhone 4.
As we already found out, Apple’s also has a Dual Mode iPhone in the pike for the summer time:
Apple is also working on a so-called dual-mode phone, two people said. This device would be able to work with the world’s two main wireless standards — the global system for mobile communications, used by AT&T and overseas carriers including Vodafone Group Plc, and code division multiple access, used by Verizon Wireless. It is not known whether Apple intended to include this capability in the cheaper iPhone.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the report is that Apple is working on a Universal SIM which would allow users to jump from network to network. A move like this would really hurt the carriers who have been able to corral their customers with long term contracts against expensive phone subsidies.
It would also be a significant drop in price. Currently, an iPhone 4 costs $600 off contract.
(Didn't Apple say they don't want a low end phone?)

Here's another reason I'm hating Apple more and more! What happens if someone bought a 3GS phone 1 month before the I4 came out? Is Apple basically saying ,"thanks for your business, but you! We don't really give a rat's ass about our 3GS users any more. So go out and by the I4 now you dumb-ass."
