| Also - the iTunes 9.2 Beta that is needed to install iOS4 is mofuggin’ snappy - if you’re a Mac user, grab it even if you’re not going to update your iPhone. I’m genuinely impressed. |

Yeah dude, my next HUP will be in Sept ... the 2yr rule. |
That is very true but as an Iphone customer that may not apply. As we make special exceptions for people who have the Iphone, when the 3GS came out. We let current iphone customers do an upgrade to the 3GS even if they wernt eligeble for a HUP within 60 days (or so) of launch. If the Customer got the 3G between July 11 and Dec 31 they were able to do a Hup at new customer pricing. If they bought the 3G after the 31 of december they were still able to upgrade but i think it was like 100-200 dollars more for the phone. I really do hope and think they roll something like tyhis out again. Its very likely i'll keep you posted ;) |

I remember these rules they had back then ...
1) If you were the first batch of iPhone users in July, HUP from 3G to 3GS were allowed, only if your bill was $100.00 before SAF + TAX. Mine is like 1/3 of that, so they demanded me to fork out $449.00 w/ resigning of VP and DP. That was all ruled out after Feb's new terms and policies.
2) No Data plan add $50.00, after feb (I think) ... add $200.00 on top of HUP pricing.
Please keep us posted homie, my official date of HUP is 09.09.10 and I fear I may have to wait until then. I have a strong feeling inventory is gonna be ultra low for this generation too.
A lot of the 3GS users are suffering from the 2 yr policy. One of my buddy just got his 3GS last month ... |

This goes back to my statements regarding customers whose Telco is playing nice with Apple and their preferential treatment.. Apple’s product refresh cycle is generally 12 months. AT&T gets to work within that. |
