Comex, the jailbreak hacker who uncovered the previous JailbreakMe 2.0 exploit could be back at it again.
Earlier today Comex tweeted a teaser image that shows a ski slope and a sign with black diamond and PDF symbols. The ski slope and diamond icon could be a reference to 'alpine' which is the default password for root access on iOS. The PDF could be a reference to the previous PDF exploit Comex uncovered in iOS 4.0 (JailbreakMe 2.0).
JailbreakMe allows users to jailbreak straight from their iOS device via Safari. These userland jailbreaks are quick and easy but usually patched by Apple rather quickly.
This jailbreak could either be for 4.3.3 or 5.0, or even the iPad 2. Remember, all devices except the iPad 2 will always be jailbreakable via the Limera1n exploit. Apple can easily patch the untether so it would not make sense to burn an exploit with iOS 5 releasing in a few months.

Rumours are that on tuesday all iPhones being sold in Apple stores will be unlocked (all the time), no matter what sim card you put into the phone.
One thing how much extra space can you buy for iCloud? |

All IP4s sold in these regions are unlocked.

That rumor you are talking about is related the US IP4s, if it happens ... |

| From what I recall, ours are semi-unlocked. The minute you put a simcard into the phone they lock to that carrier, but that is what I remember when the IP4 came out. Not sure if Apple changed that though. |

No such thing as semi-unlocked, that myth of "the first sim card inserted" was made up from some fool who thinks he knows his .
Locked units that are shipped to the carrier stores & dealers, all these IMEIs are reg to whatever carriers and that's is that. You can't not buy a factory unlocked iPhone from these retail outlets.
In the Apple Store; they have access to their global IMEI database to assign, switch or remove reg IMEIs due to warranty services and sales within their region. I've personally seen their servicing screens with all the info they have to fill out (Don't ask how) Keep in mind; they will not switch or unlock a subsidized iPhone that is locked to a carrier, since the carrier has paid for their portion of the subsidized agreement and only that carrier can unlock "their" iPhones.
Starting with the IP4, since we now have 5 carriers that offer the iPhone.
1) All iPhones sold at the AppleStore at full retail pricing will be unlocked.
2) All iPhones subsidized on Rogers and Fido will be locked, but can be unlocked if you paied full retail pricing w/o HUP, it can be done after 90 days and pay a fee of $50.00 |

Rogers to release a $10 “Unlimited U.S. Text Message Pass”

The winds are a changing. Rogers is getting ready to release an new roaming package called “Unlimited U.S. Text Message Pass”. The price: $10 for unlimited sent and received texts. Good deal considering their past travel packs were ridiculously high at $12.50 for 25 text messages sent. No word yet on when this will be in place but it includes Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands all the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska).
(Really???) |

This banner style notification is a relief frankly, too many times i stress out on the notification that might pop and stay there when I lend the phone to someone. |
