the dev team should be releasing their JB ver. soon. Hold out til then. U don't want to go the Blackra1n route. |
Redsnow 0.9 is quickpwn type of jailbreak, you will be forced to update your baseband and you can't use blacksnow without blackrain.
90% of iPhones were made with New bootrom, meaning you can't downgrade the baseband.
Not unless Dev Team is coming up with a new ver of Ultrsnow along side. |

FW 3.1.2
Baseband 05.11.07
Cydia Repo - www.blackra1n.com <--- add this and load blacksnow
You should care about the baseband crap, you have to use Blacksnow now & yellowsnow was the previous baseband. |
My phone is not currently jailbroken though, I want to know how to jailbreak it. I can't add the repo because Cydia isn't even on my phone. I just wanted to know if QuickPwn will jailbreak the 3.1.2 firmware, and if not, what do I use? Thanks. |

Got roger's to replace my iphone 3g (two weeks before warranty ran out). But, the new phone only comes with a 3 month, which was a bit short IMO.
Oh well, at least I get a band new unit. |

That's pretty much the standard in all the electronics industry. |

You sure you got a 3 month extension? It's normally your 12 month purchase date.
You gonna get Applcare? 12 month extention, covers everything ... even cords, heaphones and battery levels. |

Say, is MMS part of a higher OS than I have? The only way I can send an MMS on my phone is via emailing to my friends' [email protected]yadayada addresses.
On apple's site, it looks like it's there for the 3G. I'm on OS 3.0something. |

No MMS on 1st Gen, only through JB and a pain in the ass install
What your doing is called "email txt msg", the other party will be charged recieving it. |

The rogers rep said 3 months, I hope its 12.
Either way, I may not JB mine. A 3g is so much faster when it is not jailbroken, and I buy my apps anyways.
Any good mp4 video encoding programs for windows? |
